I preface: I do not post reviews and I love donuts, which compelled me to leave a review in this instance. With "premium" donuts becoming quite the trend the last few years, I really don't mind splurging on the occasional one despite the high price. Donut Hive was the highest price I have encountered yet, a whopping $5. Although not overly big, it looked good and I thought it must be pretty good tasting too. I was horribly wrong. Tim Horton donuts are better than these. I cannot believe how subpar it was for the $5 price tag. Try if you wish, but don't be surprised if you end up feeling disappointed.
I never bother to give negative reviews on Google but must do so this time. Walked in the Donut Hive around 7pm, there was no other customer but the only staff there was so rude, giving off such horrible attitude, even rolled her eyes when I did not catch what she was saying. If you detest your job that much, you could stay home. Beware, they charge $1 for that small box which nobody asks for, but they could not give you any bags to put your purchase in! This is my last time buying from this brand.
Quality donuts are hard to find. I am not a fan of fancy flavours, so I just got the more plain cinnamon sugar and the boston cream with chocolate on top. I'll start with what's great. The donuts are delicious, better quality, and not too sweet. Typically, I find desserts are ruined by being overly sweet. This is the best cream filling I have ever had. It has a bourbon vanilla flavour, and it's very unique. The next day, the donuts tasted just as fresh as on the first day. Yes, they are pricey, but I also know Yorkdale would charge a lot for use of space, and these are premium donuts. I have an issue with this establishment not taking cash. It is ridiculous to deny a form of payment that is still considered legitimate. This alone makes me not want to attend. It also discriminates against people that don't use credit cards or debit to pay. The other issues I have are not having the option to print a receipt. yes, it can be emailed, but if I want to write off my food expenses I then have to go through the trouble of printing it myself. I got the paper bags, but to charge $1 for a box to put the donuts in is overpriced.
Came here only because I was at Yorkdale for the day and my wife wanted to try them.Like most reviews the donuts aren’t bad but they are quite pricey. They had a promotion where it’s buy 6 and you don’t have to pay tax. However averaging about 5 dollars a donut it does add up.Donuts themselves were tasty. The matcha donut was interesting as was the chocolate dream. Nutelly donut is literally just a plain donut with Nutella over it.Would I go again probably not but it was a nice thing to try once
These donuts were really yummy but just a bit too pricey! I enjoyed all the ones I had, my personal favourite was the coconut I usually HATE coconut flavoured things but wow it was the best coconut donut ever and it was even my favourite of all the ones I tried here!! Definitely try that one.
Such beautiful and tasty donuts. My kids loved the red velvet & Spiderman. Can't wait to return to try another flavor.

Really Good donuts, though abit on the pricey side. I tried the Red Velvet Donut, Creeme Brule, Carmel Cheesecake and the Match Donut. Each Donut was delicious and beautifully decorated. Loved each one of them and there flavors. The customer service and the lady was super nice and even told me about there deals after you bought 6 donuts.
I love donuts. However, I used not to be a fan of cream-filled donuts. But after having found this gem, I’m not a fan anymore. I’m a whole air-conditioner.Even though they’re more pricey compared to other donut places, it’s worth it. The filling is not too sweet and the dough is super fresh.My favourite: Matcha. But I don’t know why there wasn’t a piece of Matcha kitkat this time.
I absolutely loved it! Even the types that didn’t have fillings and just had toppings were delicious. I found the dough especially to be remarkable, as even 3 days after purchase the last donut I ate was still soft!
