I used to go out of my way every time I went to Niagara Falls for the fish and chips. The fries are great but on this visit the fish was terrible. All batter and now fish!!! I told the waitress. She said we have the same problem with the chicken wings. It all depends on what they give us. I said maybe the owner should start looking around for another supplier? I like the atmosphere here. It has the Niagara rocking and rolling type of place and the crowds I would assume are packed here at night. Nope never getting the fish here again. It was one of my 3 favourite places to get fish. Now I stop in at a place in Hamilton which is very famous and stand in line for half an hour. It is worth it. They lost me as a customer.
My first time trying this place. Went for lunch with my friend and sat on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient, our food was all correct and best part everything was delicious. Definitely will be going back!
Went for dinner last night, I ordered Fried chicken with a salad as my side, my wife ordered fish and chips. My dinner was delivered with mash potatoes instead of the salad. When I mentioned it to the waitress she looked puzzled at me then said "Oh, yeah" then took the mashed potatoes away, My wife began to eat and said that her fries were cold, I said Ok we'll get some fresh ones as I tried them and she was right, When the waitress returned with my salad I mentioned it to her. She responded with "No there not." Taken aback a bit I said "Yes, they are, you cant tell by looking at them. She said I just brought them out, grabbed one with her fingers and said their hot. I said we are not eating these (she just had her fingers in my wife's food!). I offered that if she was correct then bring out a thermometer from the kitchen and check they must have a thermometer as they have a responsibility to serve food at the correct temperature. She refused so I asked for our bill and she took the food away, The bill came with the food listed on it. I asked why and she said it was because we could have eaten it. Living here and coming to the Riverside through three different owners including this one over the past twenty five years I never had to turn food back and never had such bad service from a waitress. Highly NOT recommended.
I visited the other day and was very disappointed with the level of service here. It was not the waitress... it was the gentleman at the bar. He could have done a few things to help out the one waitress he had working. She was slammed. We were a large group, but had stopped in the day before to let them know we would be coming and at what time.The food was great, when it finally arrived. We learned there was only one person in the kitchen... not a great way to run a business. 2 and 1/2 hours to get our orders and eat.It's a shameful way to operate. I would say get take-out and save yourself the hassle of being an inconvenience for this establishment... if you even want to bother doing that. I will not be returning... it's too bad... because I did like the food!
Beautiful spring afternoon. Liked the menu variety. Our server was very efficient and friendly. Really enjoyed it.
Ordered thin crust pizza tonight for pickup and it was absolutely undercooked dough. The dough was so thin it was like toilet paper and sticking to the box.. went back and the owner was absolutely rude telling us we ordered that and we can’t get money back next time without a receipt, the owner was yelling at us at the bar infront of everyone and whipping around the pizza saying “thin crust thin crust this is what thing crust looks like” then she noticed that it was undercooked and walked away .. ever since new owners I will not be going back, awful customer service and awful food. Should definitely make sure pizza is cooked before serving it and owner should be a good enough owner to realize she was in the wrong.
Good food with an awesome view. Awesome service and a large patio for dining. The menu was simple, a little more exciting than your regular pub food, good quality too. We'd come back for sure!
Very nice spot overlooking the river. Buffalo macaroni amd cheese was very good. Fish and chips were great. Not too fishy tasting and not all batter.
Took our friends for lunch. Terrible food. Seafood soup smelled fishy and too much I think hot sauce in broth, 1 piece of seafood and too much potato cubes. Maybe it should have been called potato soup instead. Rangoon's were good and so was the chili. The child's hamburger was very dry, no seasoning and uneatable. Fries were tasty. Mozza sticks were horrible. Disappointed as raved how good the food is!! NOT this day, it was horrible.
Great service! I go to alot of bars to see my boyfriends band play and when he played at riverside this past Friday I was so impressed with the service. We had a waitress named Tara and she was one of the best servers I've seen in a really long time. She was very friendly and efficient we never had to wait for a drink she was on the ball.
