The food here was excellent. We had the fish n chips a burger and the family size poutine. Everything was delicious. It is a small place and just outside of the main area but definitely worth the few extra blocks. One note though, make sure to bring cash because they don't take cards.
Two words: mixed poutine!! Mixed is curds and shredded. Size pictured is a large. I went with my friend and her family. It was their first time having it and they really loved it. Yum yum. Plenty of gravy to soak the fries in. Love that every fry was covered in gravy & cheese. Cash-only place but there are ATMs within walking distance. We walked there from the Hershey's store, about 14 mins. Friendly staff and the poutine was delicious. I would go back if in the area and get a family size.
Trust me, walk a bit from the Falls to get this rather than overpriced stuff. So humble and unassuming. Poutine is best in town, has picnic tables, awesome huge fish. Best service and kindest cooks/owner that you will meet in the area :) There are many reasons it gets 4.9!
My Daughter had never had poutine before so we asked a local where to go in Niagara for the best poutine and she told us about Niko's...it's away from all the touristy chain restaurants and well worth the trip! Niko is a super-friendly guy and serves up some great grub...we'll be back!!!
Delicious curd poutine indeed!! A small portion was enough for 2 to share. Friendly owner, service was fast (not a lot of people on a Weds 1pm), curious about everything else on the menu, till next time!
It is our tradition to get poutine here every time we go to see the Niagara Falls area! And let me tell you, Niko's place never disappoints!!The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the food is freshly made and delicious, and there are even some benches to eat there. We always get the mixed poutine with bacon which includes mozzarella cheese and cheese curds. The fries are SO CRISPY even after the gravy goes on top if you can believe that!! Gravy is delicious, the curds are nice and squeeky. We also got a hotdog this time, delicious with a bunch of added toppings such as banana peppers!You really have to swing by here at least once! Especially because their prices are super affordable for such high quality food! Definitely recommend!
100/10 experience. We tried the poutine with curds, fish and chips, and the burger— all super fresh and delicious. The fish was fried to perfection, the tartare sauce offering just the right amount of flavor to the fresh fish. The potatoes are crisp and out of this world, best fries we’ve had outside of Belgium. The owners are also very lovely. This place was so great we went two days in a row. Please go eat at Niko’s Place if you’re ever in the area!!!
Highly recommend the fish and chips with poutine, oh yea also the shrimp and chips, oh right also can't forget his amazing burgers. So freaking good. Awesome service as well �
