After ordering our food, their website said it would be ready by 8:20pm. Great. Except it wasn't, and they hadn't even begun making it yet.While we were waiting, a massive line of customers and delivery drivers piled up. The lone employee offered only complaints regarding the owners' sudden vacation leaving them untrained—and unprepared—to manage the restaurant alone.An hour past their initial estimate, we finally received our food. Or so we thought, only to drive home and find half of the order missing. The food we did receive was either ice-cold like the mashed potatoes, or burnt in the case of the "complimentary onion rings".They wouldn't offer us a refund for this sham, instead having us wait longer still to cook the rest. And they forgot the mushy peas AGAIN!Terrible restaurant, mediocre food. You couldn't pay us to order again.
Just had fish and chips for my husband and I. We have ordered from there for ten years. It was absolutely disgusting!!! Fries were soaked in oil. The batter in fish has changed. It’s disgusting! Tartar sauce has changed and is disgusting. Will never order again. Lost a customer!!
Went in to pickup and pay for my order and and was told the total was $36.05. Paid by tapping the debit machine with my card. Went out to the car and looked at the receipt and it said $39.65 (it showed a tip was added for $3.60 when I didn’t tip at all). Went back in to talk to the teenage worker, and complained letting the guy know that he added a tip without my knowledge. He tried to tell me that I must have pushed something by accident, but I didn’t even touch the machine (only tapped my card). I asked him, If he was adding unknown tips to all paying customers without their permission (which is stealing and illegal). He said again that I must have pushed a button (I would have had to push “yes” to a tip, “% or $” to the type of tip, then “yes” again…. without actually touching the machine. Asked to speak to the manager and was told that they wouldn’t be in until Friday, and when asked his name, he wouldn’t tell me. Customers be aware of checking your receipts in case they are doing this to multiple customers. Maybe the police should get involved. This was the Niagara Falls location.
I got some lakeport delivered. I do not eat fish so I got a hamburger and poutine. Nothing was on the burger literally no toppings what so ever and I did not receive my poutine. Boyfriends fish and fries were fine so disappointed as I made the order at 2pm to have at 630!!!!
Lucked into this place for a quick lunch. Friendly staff great service. Had the Halibut 1 piece fish and chips. Awesome the fish was fresh and crispy and same with the fries. Perfect spot for a quick lunch.
I moved to Niagara Falls a few months ago and someone recommended this place to me. I was super excited because I love fish and chips. But all my excitement was for nothing when I got there just to be told they don’t have halibut. I have never heard of a fish and chips place that doesn’t have halibut.When the other fish and chips place I opened near by, lakeport finally said they ordered halibut but it was on back order. After a while I finally saw it on their menu so I ordered it. Hands down the worst halibut I have ever had in my life, if what I got was even halibut. It looked nothing like halibut and it tasted really fishy, something that halibut really shouldn’t taste like.
Waited 17 minutes at the front counter of the store and no-one came out. Could only hear someone berating and shouting at two employees in the back. Several other people were also inside waiting. An Uber driver waiting for an order had already been there for over twenty minutes. This all happened mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, well after lunch and before dinner. I ended up walking out. The same thing happened about a week earlier when I went in to place an order. Prior to this, service was always efficient. Are there new people who have taken over the business?? I don't know how else to explain consistently good service over several years to suddenly become this bad.
Fish is good but.. pre-ordered Xmas eve order days in advance. Still waited 1 hour at the store to get my order! I understand it’s busy but this is Unacceptable!
My first time was amazing tonight fries uncooked. Had to ask for everything ..loud people working there . Great amount of shrimp fish amazing. Fries thumbs down
Food very good there. However i have been there 3x and each time whether i ordered on phone or went in and ordered it took forever to get our food.People would come in and order and get there food before us. Not sure but has happened 3x in a row of trying to order.Which i can figure out why i always have to wait longer when we order.If you have time to wait the food is good but i dont like waiting longer than the time ordered placed. Even other people would notice the same that i seemed to be overlooked.Oh well food is good just not sure with injuries to have to wait longer than agreed time for pick up.Enjoy your day
