Dark, overpriced and slow service. The food isn't great either. The onion rings are probably the best thing on the menu and given they look like pre made, prepackaged hoops you could get anywhere that doesn't say much. The wings are ok but nothing special. The Shrimp Fajita had 10 tiny shrimps on a bed of rice with 4 tortillas so you only get not even 3 mini shrimp per fajita.Pasta was over cooked and the salad was so overdressed in a sickly sweet dressing it was inedible and had to be sent back. The restaurant only had a handful of tables and yet the wait for drinks and food was ridiculous. Being on holiday from Australia this was our first time getting to try an Applbees and I can safely say it will also be our last. I can only imagine given how big the chain is that other Applebee's franchises aren't nearly this bad but why risk it?
Not bad at all. Very simple predictable menu, large portions, American style breakfast. You can't go wrong with a plate of eggs, sausages, bacon and potatoes in the morning.Prices are quite reasonable for the tourist area as well. If you're choosing between a nearby IHOPs and Applebee's - stop thinking and come here.
My family and I went to this Applebee’s location on May 30, 2022, at around 3 pm. We were visiting Niagara Falls and were staying at the Embassy Suites just across the street from Applebee’s.I know discrimination when I see one. Much more if I experienced it first hand. When my family entered the restaurant, we were asked by a young gentleman how many were in the group. There were five of us. Then the young man took his time to get cutleries from a shelf right where he was standing. He did not even bother to greet us as we came in. The young gentleman then showed us our table next to the washroom. He said it is either we take that table or a table behind a building column that sits four people and just grab an extra chair. My family only had two options when it was clear that the restaurant was almost empty. There were only three occupied tables then. Two of those were by the window.I told the young gentleman that we prefer a table by the window. He answered us with a loud tone that we could only sit in either the two of tables he told us before—by the washroom or hidden behind a column. We politely declined the offer and went to a different restaurant instead. We could tell that the young gentleman was happy when we left. The smirk on his face said it all.My family and I have never tried Applebee’s and will never attempt to try again after this experience. If you are reading this and you are of Asian descent. Treat yourself to a better restaurant.
Great food and excellent service
A nice inexpensive restaurant that provides great service and reasonably priced meals. Parking can be an issue in general close to the falls. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken and Biscuit. It was good and the portion was pretty large much more than I could eat in one sitting.
Excellent friendly service. Hostess very attentive to your needs. Excellent
Food was great! Service good. Recommend
The fries were too salty. The fajita didn't come with guacamole and the waitress failed to inform. The steak and mash potato were good. The burgers are decent. The spinach dip could use for cheese
Staffs are not friendly, they are just doing there job with strong face. Took long time to serve the food. Wanted to change the table because of sun but they simply replied no table available where i can see table available in next row. We kind of force them to change our table to that one. Found hair in the food but did not complian right way because took long time to serve at the first time but when i show them, they just made a face but no apolozie in sound, not in final invoice. Not recommended for customize the manu because server dont even listen.
Food was decent , but way overpriced (like most things in the area) Close to oakes hotel where we stayed was a plus
