Warm welcomes and kind smiles to greet you. The tarts are sweet, which helps make them not get all gobbled up at once. I bought half a dozen and could only eat 2 at first. The price is more than most other places, but the quality is well worth double the price. The variety of different flavors is amazing; something for everyone. I will return before heading home.

The pecan butter tarts that we had for a breakfast with coffee was a amazing. These pecan tarts are so GOOD, a definite must try.?

Today we celebrated my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower at The Maids Cottage. The owner Deb and her staff were very accommodating from the on start. The brunch was a hit with the guests with a huge selection including vegan, gluten free and cooked to perfection by chef Victor. Victor created a masterpiece with the fruit platter. The venue was recently renovated with a modern style to suit any event decor. Thank you Deb, Kathleen, Victor, Barb, Pam and Steve (sound tech) for making it a pleasurable experience.

We participated in an Easter Scavenger Hunt hosted by Jennifer Jones group realty and a half dozen butter tarts had to follow me home. They certainly lived up to their reputation as I've heard nothing but legendary reviews of their butter tarts! Thanks Maid's Cottage for helping bring a winning dessert to Easter! :)

A quaint place on main street, we tried the tarts since all the reviews were raving about them, I personally found them too sweet, I could only eat a quarter of it at a time. The lunch items were a bit pricey but basic.

We loved this place. Awesome butter tarts and dining in was a real pleasure. Very disappointed they have decided not to do dine-in any longer. It was worth the trip from T.O.

Finally, I had the chance to try the famous butter tarts from The Maid's Cottage. It is simply delicious. It is worth it to cross the city. The tarts are really special, taste so good, so fresh. Definitely, it is the best butter tart ever. All the different flavors make it even better. The lady who works there is such a nice person. The only problem is that the store is too busy, but I understand. Everyone wants the same nice things as me. Nice places usually are very busy.

This place is adorable and their butter tarts will make your brain explode -- in a good way! I didn't even know I liked butter tarts until I tried these. These tarts are probably what Savage Garden was thinking about when they wrote "I knew I loved you before I met you." I've never tried extasy, but I imagine it's a similar experience as eating one of these butter tarts. Also, the staff are super excited about the butter tarts as well. When you tell them you haven't tried one yet, you can see the twinkle in their eye because they know what's about to happen to you. I always get some to serve out of town visitors -- to sometimes lie and say I made them -- but they are so unbelievably divine that nobody believes me.

Their butter tarts and frozen savoury meat pies (steak, steak and liver) and other frozen options (lasagna, Sheppard's pie) are the best. The ladies that serve us are always helpful and professional.

5 stars strictly for the butter tarts! They are the best I've ever had. Simply outstanding!(But, the actual restaurant gets a "meh" rating from me. Cute place, but the food is mediocre.)
