What a beautiful place and amazing food, The waitresses and waiters were very attentive and very helpful with the menu I had The lobster bisque And ordered it again it was so good! I also had The steak and lobster and my date had my date had the lobster tails and mushroom rice, I would definitely go again and I highly recommend ?❤ ?????
Went for a quick steak with hubby, ordered a medium well done steak with a lobster steak. The lobster came in great and delicious, but the steak was totally burnt. The manager and the waitress were really generous and brought in another steak, but this time it was so juicy that it wasn't really a medium well done. We also ordered crispy cauliflowers, and they were not crispy at all and not fully cooked inside. I really love KEG and I am very sad that this branch close to us might not be offering the same quality as always.
The experience was wonderful the reservation was on time our host was very professional and friendly the rest of the staff were very pleasant, the food didn't not take long to arrive and was still hot when it hit the table. Our waitress had a pleasant smile was very attentive and got our orders right. We were very pleased with the service all round, the food was excellent wife had the stake i had the prime and we both loved our meals thank you keg for a beautiful evening we will be back soon ?
Tried the Newmarket Keg for the very first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was the first time ever that we were able to dine out, and celebrate our anniversary (due to the pandemic), and so wanted only the best, and decided to reserve at The Keg. Booking on the phone felt rushed, and many details weren't asked or offered, as they would have been if reserving online (not an option). As a result we didn't get an opportunity to say the occasion for coming in, nor were we offered any seating preferences. We were told they could not guarantee a time, but rather provided a time range, which was fine. We were seated within 10 mins (great), but in a dark/lowered area. I asked if we could be seated near the fireplace, or in an elevated booth (for a better ambience), but could not be accommodated. The ambience was dark, loud, and crowded. Not ideal for a romantic anniversary dinner. The most disappointing part of the experience was the 1.5 hour wait for our meal. I could not eat the bread they served us to tide the time over as I am Celiac and need to eat gluten-free. It was unfortunate. Our server avoided eye contact, and did not check in with us very much. We suspect because she was aware of the extreme wait time. By the time the food arrived, we were starved and scarfed it down. I can't comment on what it tasted like, or its quality, as I was eating for sustenance, and not pleasure. This was far from the romantic fine dining experience we expected, and have previously experienced many times at the Richmond Hill location. I understand it is a very popular location, and many others enjoy it here, but this is not what we experienced. Our celebration was very disappointing. Will not return.
Came here for my bday. Decor is beautiful - warm and cozy. Ordered the old fashioned and mojito . Old fashioned was amazing while mojito was very sour. For appetizers, ordered the calamari (not pictured) and the escargot. Calamari was a hit - crispy and not the chewy kind while the escargot was a disappointment as sauce was too overpowering. The mains were amazing and we ordered all the proteins. Every dish was cooked to perfection. I did not get any crab in my salmon dish which was the only complaint.
I phoned to make reservations In Newmarket for 5 o'clock for 4 people and that was no problem whatsoever. We met up with our friends and and we had an excellent dinner. Our waitress was so happy to be back at work and it showed by the way she treated us and the beautiful smile she had on her face and she just made our visit so much more enjoyable.. She interacted with us with us very friendly. I think that makes a big difference.. All of us had steak and it was done differently for each of us. I had mine charred which is something available now. I always like my steak very well done and now that I can get it charred that's even better. So my steak comes and it is very charred and it was the most delicious, tender, tasty, steak I could ever have wanted . Plus it had that beautiful charred taste. Needless to say the waitress received a big tip and to the best of my knowledge, The Keg take all the tips for the evening and then share them amongst all the staff for that evening.

I visit this keg about 10-12 times a year but in the last year or so they have become tight . A keg size drink is now a regular size drink for double the price and full of Ice . The attached picture below is my main course meal . I handed back my chicken to be cooked more as it was pink in the middle along with all my vegetables, gravy and mash . 15 minutes later my main course chicken arrived back like this . In the mean time the manager came over and expressed how the chicken is cooked using a thermometer etc. Thank you for cooking my chicken better but what happened to the rest of my meal????
