Came here based on reviews… I should’ve dove deeper. Went for all you can eat. The food was just ok. Some of the sushi was fishy. The spring rolls were pretty bad. There was a mayo in most of the sushi that tasted incredibly sour. Our server, rather than asking how the food was, added a very rude remark about the amount of food left over. She said, “next time you order what you can eat!” We then explained we didn’t like it, hence why we didn’t eat it. She shrugged her shoulders and told us to go pay. The service charge was 12% so we couldn’t even leave without a tip. Would not recommend. I feel bad for bringing family to this restaurant.
No masks on chefs or servers, no checking vaccines. We asked our server, in case, if she wanted to see our vaccine certificate and she didn’t speak one word to us the rest of the night. On top of very bad service and soggy sushi. Used to be good
We have gotten take out from this restaurant a few times now and it is our favourite! Great service and delicious food. Highly recommend it!
Ordered in from Taka ordered mango roll with tempura flakes and salmon roll. Both exquisite in size texture taste flavour. Would have like mango sauce on the mango roll but the mango is plentiful and very sweet so I would order from there in a heartbeat again.
Try the artic rollEdit 2022:$120 order - came with spoiled mango salad, expired sour seaweed and something that looked like cardboard in the miso soup (see the picture) which they tried to convince me it was seaweed but I never saw before in miso soup ever.Quality went down drastically over time... Don't try the artic roll anymore, the rice wrap was very bad this time.
Awesome food variety and quality. Been going here for 10 years that’s a testament to good food as I only have a handful of places I can say that about !!
I like this place because so delicious food you can find here, but for charge so expensive, I recommend this place if you have money and it’s ok for charge I recommend this TAKA SUSHI so delicious after shopping on upper Canada mall so near for Lunch or dinner.
Good food, OK service but the 12% service charge added to the bill didn’t make sense. They couldn’t explain why the 12% service charge, only that the boss asked to be added. Is this something new in restaurant industry?********Added after feedback:I wasn’t told anything and when I paid, I already included 10% tip as it seemed the bill to high. I only questioned the amount after I paid.
One of the best all you can eat sushi restaurants in Newmarket, and there is atleast 15 different options. I highly recommend trying this place to anybody that enjoys Sushi! Great variety and fair Prices.
Went with a coworker for lunch on a Sunday. They only do all you can eat on the weekend only. The food quality and service was okay, nothing amazing. For cheap food and decent service this is the place to go to.
