Amazing sushi and staff, very clean and well kept place
I feel bad leaving a bad review but this was terrible. The quality and size of sashimi, sushi and maki were unacceptable. Compared to the nearby competition the rolls were half the size for the same price. Not to get too nasty but I've honestly had better sushi from the grocery store. We spent $80 for takeout sushi for 4 people and left us hungry and completely disappointed.
Absolutely hands down my favorite sushi in Newmarket. I've been going here for a few years now and have never been let down. Kind, fast service, delicious food, and a wonderful versatile menu! Over the years this place has become my go to spot for various friend outings, dates, a hot cup of tea while I catch up with my dad or simply just some takeout for me to enjoy on a summer day. The yaki nasu is by far my favorite, along with the jade rolls, mango avocado and rainbow rolls. You can tell they take pride in their work. I'm always Looking forward to my next meal from here ???

WOW WOW WOW! My husband and I tried Otaru sushi for the first time today and it was absolutely delicious!! Like mouth watering!! My husband and I recently moved north of Newmarket over a year ago and we have yet to find an amazing sushi place.. today was the day! So so happy that we gave this restaurant a shot. We got the P.2 party platter and all of the sushi rolls on it were amazing!

It was almost an hour wait but it was hot, fresh and delicious.
Went for dinner on Thanksgiving night. Great food and great price. Portion wasn't big but definitely not below average. Great experience overall!
Ordered thru skip the dishes. It was over $80 but was a $20 meal. Portions were extremely small. Their garden salad had a weird tasting dressing not like your normal ginger sesame dressing and it was literally lettuce with a few slices of cucumber. Ribs in bento also small. California rolls fell apart before being put in sauce.The sauces like soy and tempura were very small portions, luckily we had some soy in our fridge. Miso soup was very salty. Tempura was good. The flavour of the ribs were good. Do not order kani salad if you don’t like spicy mayo which they don’t tell you.
