Our usual Fish & Chip place was closed, so we thought we would give Newmarket Plaza Fish & Chips a try on Good Friday. What a disappointment. We got 2 orders of Two pieces of Halibut + chips, it came to $61.00. yikes!!!It was awful. The fish was dry and the chips absorbed so much oil they were disgusting.Won't be going by back there again.
This place is horrible. First off when I walked in the restaurant and it smelled like a butcher shop (should have been my first hint to get out of there) i got The Haddock, Chips and can of pop combo and an 8 pack of Mozzarella sticks. Lets start with the Mozzarella stick, you could tell they were cooked in dirty oil as they had a very weird and unappetizing flavor. Now onto what is supposed to be the star of the meal, the fish and chips. The Fish was ok, kind of bland and some of the breading had gotten a little over cooked, now the fries were horrible. They were flavorless even when killed in Ketchup and Vinegar. DO NOT GO HERE. Find a better place if your having a hankering for fish and chips.
Disappointing.1. The fish batter was bland.2. The fish was dripping with oil - obviously they did not cook the fish in oil that was hot enough.3. The chips tasted odd, not sure what it was, but definitely not pleasant.
Great value, l have been visiting this restaurant for years.
Very good fish and chips go there most of time when I feel like fish and chips very nice couple that serve you
Good food & good customer service. Try it.

We go here for our Fish and chips. The managers a polite and take care of everyones request. A great place to dine.
Discovered this place since last year . Used to live in Belgium and eat the best fries in the world(there is a big difference between French Fries and Belgium Fries!) I wasn't able to find a place in Canada to find Belgium fries(cook with beef grease and not oil)Surprisely in this restaurant the fries were pretty similar in term of taste! I don't know which oil or grease they cook the fries but I was so happy to taste again the real fries !The halibut was excellent as well. I totally recommend this place!
