I just enjoyed a great meal at @montanasbbq with my sweetie.I had the 7oz steak dinner with house salad, coleslaw and had to get an extra corn bread! Not a good experience at all. Waitress was polite but food took a long time to come out. When it did come, my husband's steak was very underdone. For a "rib place", I was very disappointed with my order as well. My ribs were extremely dry. Baked potatoes were also dry. We will definitely not be returning to this Montana's or any Montana's at all.
My family and I went for dinner earlier this evening, to enjoy the nice weather. Our server was Eric and we were quite displeased with his service. My husband ordered a steak with a baked potato and coleslaw. My husband forgot to indicate no bacon on the baked potato although normally waiters ask if the customer wants it fully loaded and he didnt. When the meal was served my husband felt terrible and said to the waiter that he doesnt eat pork and would require another potato. The waiter said youre going to have to pick off the bacon, we insisted and begrudgingly he agreed. He instantly became moody, rolled his eyes at us and scolded my husband saying he should inform the waiter next time. He then repeatedly said he has to throw it out and we are wasting food. We apologized multiple times but his attitude completely ruined our whole experience. I have never in my life had a server who was so unwilling to accommodate. If we go back to that location, I refuse to have him as a server.
First time back for dining after COVID. Food is ok. Service is fine
My family went to the restaurant for beef ribs. They were sold out but we stayed anyways because our server was AMAZING!!! Servers name is Eric and he made the experience so relaxing and easy. I would 100% recommend this location. Ask for Eric, you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful food, good prices and fantastic customer service. We had an outstanding waitress named Shaina who's was very customer focused, smiling and very eager to help. This made our dinning experience at Montana's delightful and we can not wait to return.
I really enjoy my last experience here at this location. My server was Tyler. He had a great and positive demeanor. He was attentive when needed. It wasn't very busy at the time we arrived. Tyler was honest about portions for the mac and cheese as my partner loves to eat a big meal. We order the striploin and mac and cheese to share. We really enjoyed both. Thank you to the kitchen. Montana hasn't been our go to before but this experience will have us back. Thank you again.
Not been to Montana's in a while. Our family of four dining experience this evening was as follows...Bad:- No glasses of water offered- Food not arriving until after 7pm for a 6pm reservation, even though restaurant half-full (had to chase waitress for food at 5 to 7 around 45 mins after ordering).- Son's pulled pork sandwich had none of the listed BBQ sauce on the menu (he described the pork as "plain") - had to ask for BBQ sauce on side.- Son's coleslaw had no detectable dressing - was just dry crunchy veg- My own brisket sandwich had none of the cheese in it that was listed on the menu - and the onions were so greasy I had to leave a third of the sandwich.- Floor under table was so sticky that i could hear my daughter's shoes "crackle" as she moved her feet. So cleanliness not good.- My son asked for glass of water around 7.10 and waitress rushed off as we were trying to ask for glasses for myself and daughter.Good:Waitress proactively knocked 20% off bill due to slow food arrival, which at that point was described as due to an IT system issue affecting only 2 tables.Summary:Could have just been "a bad night" I suppose but felt more like inexperienced/inattentive waiting staff and weak cooks leading to one of the poorest dining experience's I can remember in my 5 years living in Ontario. Nice touch to knock 20% off bill but didn't make up for the widespread other failures.So won't be heading back to Montana's for foreseeable future, which is a shame as my son loves the BBQ sauce and had asked for a bottle for his birthday, which was today.Leaving this review in case it wasn't just "a bad night" and is more a theme.
Good Food and Good Service... we were there last night with my Little girl for her Birthday :) Perfect food with Nice Service.. Absolutely Recommended
Montana has been my family's top spot to go out to eat but this time when going to the newmarket location, they couldn't provide my family with a table that could sit a high chair. We were told there was only one table in the restaurant where a high chair can be placed and it was occupied by a couple. Being a restaurant you can enjoy with a family , they should have more tables available for high chairs. Especially if you have little ones that can't use booster seats. Won't be returning to that location.
