One word to describe the experience at the Newmarket Milestones is.....Perfection.The staff are so welcoming and personable. Lucas our waiter/bartender was absolutely amazing. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary there and Kyle the GM stopped by our table to say congrats.And the food......5 stars is not enough to rate it!!We will be back soon - thank you Milestones for a wonderful anniversary celebration!
When it comes to food, consistency means a lot. I ordered my favorite which is "sweet chilli chicken bowl" and it was nothing similar to what I expected. First of all, it looked like that it was dumped in a box with no care, SO UNAPPETIZING!The rice was undercooked, the children pieces cut larger than normal and it was way too spicy than usual. Very disappointing!
Ordered two steak frites yesterday and it did not go too well. Both were supposed to be medium doneness but were both very rare. And barely luke warm. Waiter did not come back to check on us until we were half done eating, then this happened. Soon the asst manager came and confirmed that our steaks were indeed rare.She offered to re make our dinners but we declined as we didn't want to start over. Of course she gave us a free dessert, big deal. The original waiter came back and cleared the table when we were done, his previous bubblyness replaced by sullenness! Table was now empty. Then our desserts arrived but we had no beverages at all, no water no coffee and nothing offered. So we ate our desserts and yet another waiter arrived to give us the bill, our original guy returned to wish us a great night! Not impressed. Will not go back to any other Recipe franchises, and here we thought Harvey's was bad !!
Customer service needs severe work. Firstly, when I first entered the restaurant there were 2 men standing directly in front of the doors smoking. I kindly asked the host at the front desk if there was not a better place for them to smoke, he iproceeded to tell me “there’s nothing we can do about that” and proceeded to walk me to my table without actually addressing my concern. It then took 15 minutes for the bartender to even take my drink order following my arrival to the table. The bar area was fairly empty while we were there, maybe 3 tables seated initially and 1 or 2 people sitting at the bar. The bartender was obviously more concerned about giving his time and attention to his girlfriend who was sitting at the bar. He never refilled our drinks and my friend had to wait 15 minutes for a take out container at the end of our meal. He took so long to check on us after our meals that we did not have time to order desert before the restaurant closed. Every time he did engage with us, he was very pleasant and interactive but those moments were few and far between. The bartenders girlfriend also made us all feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable while we were there, she sat at the bar staring us down every time he would engage with us/do his job. She continued to do so while we were paying our cheques and even as we exited the restaurant. Completely unacceptable behaviour. The food was mediocre at best and not at all worth the price. Severely disappointed. Will not be returning to this location again.
Good food, slow service. Came here on a Friday evening at 7 with my wife and wasn't satisfied with our server. Took long to greet us / ask for drink order (about 15 minutes since first being seated - to the point where we thought about asking for our server) and later she forgot about our drink order (halfway through the main course we ordered a 2nd round of cocktails which she forgot about and only remembered when we asked for the bill). I don't think it was too busy at the time, we didn't see her walking around much throughout our evening. Maybe she was just having a bad night as she acknowledged the mistake and gave us a discount on the order which was nice. Overall, the night wasn't bad, just the service could have been better (greeted within 5 minutes of being seated, not forgetting about us/our order).
After the last few times I've dined at the Newmarket location, I'm forced to concede that this just isn't a very good restaurant. Trying to order food for pickup has been an issue in the past, this time I called several times prior to 5pm and got no answer, then someone did answer and put me on hold and left me there for 12 minutes. I ended up going in, thinking they were maybe too busy to answer the phone to find a mostly empty restaurant. Placed my order for a 6oz seafood sirloin and tipped normally, because post pandemic and I didn't want the kitchens tip to be affected, and when I got home the steak was barely cooked at all, it was pretty much blue. The Sweet Chili chicken was swimming in far too much sauce, and 2 out of the 3 dishes, about $100 worth of food was nearly inedible. The last time I had issue with this restaurant they didn't wash the potatoes before making it into mash and there was dirt in them. There really isn't a good excuse for a place that costs as much as they do for the food and service to be this bad. Strongly suggest going to the A&W across the road, they should at least cook the food before serving it.
I actually feel uncomfortable writing this review with the recent lockdown however this is the first review I have ever made for it was a very poor experience.I had ordered dinner out for my Daughters 20th Birthday party. Our pick up time was 6:04. We picked it up and brought it home to find out it was not the ribs we had ordered but chicken. We called the Newmarket location back and explained we have the wrong order. They insisted it was correct, this is what upset me. We read off our order number and they still were not sure. My husband drove back to the restaurant which was a 15 drive again to find they were still trying to sort it out. I would have thought at this time they would start making the proper order. Our order was finally read by 7:30 and we were eating a planned dinner 90 minutes late for a special occasion.I realize things happen but i would have expected a coupon or discount on the order. It turns out we still did not get our full order when we returned home for we were missing our order of onion rings.We are usually very happy with our service here but this one was not very professional and it really ruined a special day.
Waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Great place to hangout with friends specially because it has booths and you can enjoy your time. Their food is good too.
Had a 6 o’clock reservation for my wife’s birthday sat for probably 20 minutes before we even got water when we mention to our waitress that the table behind us who came in after us was being served first she informed us that they had a show to go to The men’s meals were good but the girls meal were just warm and seemed like the had been reheated more than once Mentioned all this to another waitress who came to check on our meal (maybe management) She was very apologetic she took very good care of our bill and even sent two pieces of cheesecake home from my wife’s birthday all in all good and bad will go back again
