My partner and I are from out of town. We were not disappointed when trying the burger and poutine. One of the best burgers we have ever had , the quality of meat is phenomenal. Not to mention the service. :)
Ordered four smoked meat sandwiches for take out on a Saturday at lunch time. The bread was soggy; the meat was old, scaly, dry, and stringy; horseradish, which tasted off, had been used when we'd not marked that on the order sheets. Not one sandwich was made as ordered--one was so far away from the order that we were pretty sure it was mixed up with another customer's meal. They ended up in the green bin after a couple of bites. We were very sad.
Vera's Burgers : My ONLY question is why we don't see lines of peeps for miles because surly to God this is without any question thee freshest HIGH QUALITY Burger in Ottawa.A very special to "Kim"... who was "manning" (joke for only Kim ?❤️). She made my day brighter with her bright and whitty comebacks from my poor attempt at irascible sarcasm.... met my match.Last but not least - I have not been to a Vera's Burger Shack other than this location but I suspect that the sheer quality here is directly proportional to The Butchery who over ALL these years has worked their Majic for thee best meat in the city.I would normally go on further here however I can just hear "Kim" sayin.... camon shut yur piehole wouldja!!!!

Might be the best burger in town! Very juicy and flavorful. Worth it, and I definitely recommend you get a shake with it too ?
We walked in, it was chaotic. The ordering system they have in place is ridiculous. You have to fill in your own chits. Very confusing when there's a line up building behind you. The cooks and cashiers are yelling at each other and your trying to figure this thing out. My grandmother went up to order a fountain drink after the initial order was placed and the cashier "jokingly " said " 2.37, do you want to leave me a tip?". You don't say that. It's unprofessional. I'm giving 3 stars because aside from the ordering system and unprofessional staff, the food was amazing. I'll give them that.
After having sampled many other burgers in Ottawa, this is still my favourite.
Best Burgers in town and the fries are amazing. You can call ahead and everything is ready when you get there. Of you haven't tried it, you must. Honestly
The lady taking our order was super rude to me today because I used two pencils to write down my burger order (I needed one with an eraser).The food was awesome though!
One of my favorite burgers of all time. It does take a little bit longer than a fast food place but you come to Vera's for quality. Mmm ... so meaty.
