After the storm (Victoria weekend), while the electricity was out for days. The Baker was open and welcoming to everybody who came in with a culinary request. The wait was 45 minutes, but that didn't matter because you'd have to wait another 45 minutes to get to the next food service, which would have been just as long. Even though I placed my order, they continued to serve free food to my child as we waited for ours. I appreciate your professionalism, acknowledgement, and respect during this difficult time. Absolutely loved discovering this local favorite! Noticed it by seeing so many customers leave happy with their purchases. Delicious variety, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options. They have excellent customer servic and you will not be disappointed as they are the best. Local owned and operated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The products are excellent, especially like the zaatar and cheese pies. You can’t beat the prices and supporting local! Get here ASAP!
Absolutely amazing pies! less bready and more crispy than other similar places in Ottawa. I had the sausage and cheese pie and wow was that ever a flavour blast! Also highly suggest the kofta for a more subtle flavour. Highly recommend this place for an inexpensive lunch or snack.
Have been 3 times in the last year as I don’t live in the area. First two times it was great. The chicken and cheese was SO bad this time. Paying almost $7 for cold chicken and cheese is not ok. The least they could do is make sure it’s warm before serving it but I’m convinced I was given one that was sitting around or they just don’t care. Won’t return.
The owner Omar had ran out of cheese pies for the day as it was close to closing time but he specifically made fresh food for me. Absolutely incredible customer service best cheese pies in Ottawa by far. I will be coming back and supporting this local business and you should too ! You won’t regret it ! Thanks Omar !!!!

Amazing meat pies. Traditional and also gourmet kind of meat pies too. Chicken with cheese, garlic sauce, spicy sauce and pickles is my go to. You gotta try it, very very good!
