On March 15, 2020 I went to get a mixed platter family meal for 4 people, one person prepared the rice, potato, chicken and meat plate . The other person went inside and came with a bag that has the salad, pickles , hummus . I paid and went home opening the salad it was not fresh at all , went back and they changed it . Back home again when trying the hummus it was bad. I threw the hummus away. apparently the bag he brought from inside was from another order that was not picked up for a while . Lesson learned, always make them prepare your food in front of you and check it
Consistently great dishes. Quantity, and quality, that can't be beat by other shawarma restaurants imo. Glad this location is so close to my new home. Lebanese friends, from Montreal, have also agreed that Shawarma Palace is one of the best!
I've ordered from this location several times and each time the shawarma(both platter and sandwich) has been just as great as the older locations. As far as Barrhaven goes, Shawarma Palace is easily the best shawarma restaurant here.
Moved to Barrhaven a year ago and all the shawarma places here are horrible expect this place it's a hidden gem. One of the best shawarma places I have been too. Friendly, clean and most of all delicious fresh food. Keep up the good work.
Wanted to get shawarma after a long day and definitely went to the right place. The food tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the mood for Shawarma ?
The best thing about this restaurant is the taste of the chicken shawarma. I regularly order their chicken shawarma platter and the most upsetting thing is the way they pack it. It looks so uninviting to me with salad, hummus, garlic sauce, chicken and rice mixed together. I have requested them many a times to pack at least the sauces separately, but they have done that only a couple times. The chef in the store speaks so rudely,.if I ask for a better packing. Once I ordered and went to pick it up, only to find him not have prepared my order since I had left a note in the online order to pack the items separately. He said I can only pack altogether , if you don't like it, you can get your money back. That's the most unacceptable attitude from a chef which I consider as a precious role. Nowadays even the rice tastes very bad and now I am unfortunately forced to decide not to order from here anymore.
Absolutely disappointed at how inedible the chicken I ordered was. The shawarma chicken is primarily dark meat (also poor quality chicken) and literally every piece of chicken had pieces of slimey chicken skin on it. The food was inedible and made me absolutely nauseated. Will NOT go back.
Really hate to leave a negative review because I really enjoy the other 2 locations, but my first shawarma platter here was full of fat pieces and the potatoes/rice was cold, and the salad didn't look that fresh. I'd avoid this location
This place makes such tasty food. I tried Shawarma for the first time and it is my new favorite food. It is so good I want to eat it all day, every day. The roasted potatoes with garlic sauce and the beef is so delicious and yummy. 100/10 recommend!!! :D
Usually a big fan of Shawarma Palace, but after coming to this location 3 times now, the chicken has been very dry each time, and one time seemed like there had been an issue with seasoning as all the chicken in my platter was incredibly salty. The potatoes however were still delicious, it was just unfortunate that the chicken was really not good for my visits.
