It used to be good, but what happened today shocked me. One waitress took our order, then we waited for more than 20 minutes for nothing, so we asked. Another waitress CAME, then she confirmed with the kitchen, then she told us that the first waitress did not send the order to the kitchen??? So we basically wait there for nothing, and reorder it again… The only reason I gave 2 star is because the second waitress’s is good, definitely won’t come back again.
Amazing ramen. The Blank Tonkotsu had an incredible, smoky flavour. The broth was also full of flavour. The pork belly had just the right amount of marbled fat, the meat was tender, and tasted incredible. The thick noodles were perfectly "al dente". The other toppings were great (seasoned egg, woodear mushroom, scallions). The only thing I might have added was bean sprouts. But, honestly, the ramen was pretty much perfect.We also had the vegetable gyoza and zangi chicken as appetizers. Both were EXCELLENT. The gyoza were perfectly fried with just a bit of crispiness on one side while the other sides were still soft and chewy. The chicken was crispy, tender, and so flavourful but NOT greasy. So good!
I've eaten here at least three times by now. It's just as good as the one downtown. Broth is a bit heavy and the eggs seem a bit small for my liking but it's still worth eating the ramen here occasionally.
Went with the Tonkatsu, thin noodles and a side of gyoza. Delicious. Can't wait to go back again to try the other ramen options they offer.
Delicious ramen and very simple menu. Straightforward and direct. I’ve been to other ramen places where they had an endless menu making choosing what you want to eat hard and long. The staff were very helpful and kind. We had a big group of 10 and the store wasn’t that big but they helped us get tables next to each other.
Excellent place to bring small group if you're looking for a hearty bowl of ramen! Quality ingredients for a reasonable cost! Wish menu had a couple more options. Service was exceptional and very accommodating (we were seated right away despite small size of restaurant and being supper time on a weekend). Careful if it does get busy and it is cold outside because there is no space to wait inside!
Love sansotei! Great quality and good broth options. Black Garlic is my go-to.The location is a bit small so do take a reservation before going if you can. There's free parking in the back :)
cozy atmosphere, the shoyu ramen was a bit overly salty and fatty for my taste and egg was weirdly sweet but overall very nice
Got the black Tonkatsu ramen and the new vegetarian dry ramen option! Both were super tasty, highly recommend the vegetarian option as it was like a creamy pasta. And it comes with a small crispy croquette filled with potato and corn. So yummy!
Fast and friendly service.Black tonkotsu was delicious, served nice and hot. Enjoyed the gyozas with ginger and scallions.
