Great food, reasonably priced. Wednesday is steak night and it was fantastic. Steak was done exactly as requested. We will definitely be back

Wait staff doesn't actually wait on you. Order food at the bar and then pick it up yourself at the window. Also, if you need condiments, utensils or napkins. . . Grab them yourself. The "waitress is too busy chatting with her friends"I will say that the food was decent. But terrible service. I will never go back here and I advise you not to bother. NO TIP!

No idea what would prompt anyone to serve mayonnaise with a vegan burger. And no idea why the chef would snatch the plate from out of my hand when I would complain. And even less of an idea why, having replaced the meal, he would want to throw the plate at me like he did. Whatever happened to good old North American customer service? It's becoming more like Belgium every day. It was a shame because the food was excellent when I finally received it But the management needs to do something about the chef's attitude and anger management issues.

We started and finished our evening walk at the NSC The Galley. With some twenty walkers attending, the staff at The Galley was doing a good job handling our orders. The men selection and food quality have somewhat improved over last year but there is still room to do better. The bar service / food orders was efficient and friendly.

Great sailing club, great people, and one of the best spots in town to have a drink or a meal in a beautiful terrace overlooking the river.

I've been a member of the sailing club where The Galley is located for...wow, thirty years...and all I can say about The Galley is that it tries but it's not cutting it anymore. There's been a steady downward trajectory. I went tonight for the Friday night special, "Prime rib with peppercorn sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables". Well, not so much. The peppercorn sauce was really good and the potatoes were as well, partly because they were really hot from the microwave reheat, but the seasonal veggies were a couple of tired skinny sprigs of asparagus--seasonal, no doubt--and a couple of tiny half carrots. I was a fool to think the "prime rib" would be either roast or steak. I should have read the description at high cynicism alert, I guess: the beef was kind of a cutlet, chewy as flank steak on a bad day, and featured the fake grill marks found on cheap summer BBQ items. Seriously (chew, chew) disappointing (chew, chew). Service was wildly uneven, with one table being accorded an elegant bottle of water and a candle and the next table left blank as a country band fired up off to the side. With a glass of good Cab Sauvignon and 20% tip (knowledgeable and considerate bartender), the penalty was just under $40. I won't do that again. Footnote: this place makes great fish tacos. I'm just saying'--it's not all bad.
