If you like a delicious fresh baked Montreal style bagel then go no further and if you need anything to go with your perfect lovely bagel they have that too. I'm a sesame seed fan but to be honest they all taste amazing. Thank you Kettlemans.
I am usually a huge fan on kettlemens and nothing bad to say about them but last nights order was outrageous. They are supposed to be 24hours so I assumed if I ordered at 11PM I’d be getting the same quality during the day. I was wrong. I ordered a herb and cheddar bagel and it was made completely wrong. They quite literally put cheddar on my bagel when I didn’t ask for it. The bagel itself was toasted for probably 30 seconds and was hardly toasted. I always order a chocolate chip bagel on the side with butter. I opened it up to find non-melted butter in the bagel and the bagel being cold. I asked for both my bagels to be toasted. When I saw my second bagel it turned me off completely and I ended up tossing it. For 10$ I could have actually gotten myself a meal instead of two low quality bagels. I don’t recommend going here at night. Will be staying away from this location after this.
It's one thing to make authentic New York style delicious bagels, but the key factor is freshness. Even though the wood fired ovens give the bagels that unique flavour bagel afficinados all enjoy, you need to move product. This is where this particular location has the advantage of constant freshness because they are located adjacent to a large College student population and the College Square at Woodroffe Campus has a lot of people buying bagels at all hours, hence, you get fresh chewy delicious bagels of all types there more often than other Kettleman Bagel places in Ottawa. Service is friendly and fast. The place is clean and well stocked with the assortment of preferred bagel spreads. Go there now, order a dozen bagels and enjoy the warm steamy cheesy texture of a bagel.
Too funny.. the first few reviews were saying it would have been 5 stars if they didn't forget something, or the coffee was watery, or...well, I must add my review with...it would have been 5 stars if they didn't lose my order and I had to ask them where it was. As people around me were getting theirs, I was waiting. My little mobile device did not go off. Then when I asked about it, the lady went to the back...took a bagel...had it made to my order...came back and said, "they didn't get it, I had them make your order, here it is." As if she saved the day. No apology. As for the food, I would have given it a 5 star. Well, there went that. Oh, the cashier could have been more excited to take my $25 when I put my order in. Just...Very....Blah.
My absolutely favorite place to go for bagels. The bagels are always made fresh and are delicious. Excellent service. They didn't have any fresh all-dressed bagels today and I didn't feel like waiting for them to make a new batch, so I asked them to just give me more of the other types and the server gave me an extra bagel for the inconvenience.
Very disappointed. Waited10 minutes in line placed my order waited 15 minutes. Got our order sloppily put together. Specifically requested no bacon and requested tomatoe. Got home my bagel had bacon on the egg side with cheese melted to the bacon and no tomato. Disappointed payed for something I couldn't eat.
I ordered turkey sandwich really good love it but the coffee not good very light watery not strong
Would have been five stars when they made muesli bagels, which were by far their best. However they stopped making those and it has not been the same ever since for me. I just can’t comprehend why they would do that? That said their other bagels are still good.
As the years go by the quality has gone way down. Not sure whats happened but the bagels are smaller and skinnier, the amount of meat has lessened and the prices have gone higher. Definitely not worth it anymore.
Great quality food, they offer spreads to take home, fairly pricy but worth it!
