This place arrived in the early 60s and used to have only a few stools. It expanded in the 70s. Love their Burgers and Hotdogs. Service is usually fast and friendly. Drink machine for refills. Kept clean
Harvey's is one of those places where you can really get it your way as you watch them make your burger. They also have a decent selection on their menu and a vegan option.
Front staff was very nice. Kitchen dude seemed very busy. My onions rings are pretty mushy. Could’ve been cooked a few minutes longer
Use the drive thru.Never ever go inside thinking you'll save time on a long drive thru line, you'll see 4 cars go through before someone takes your order
I ordered 2 originals with a side of chickennuggets expecting a good size chicken nuggets, but they were merely the size of a quarter. I complained and Store manager Charles. He wipped up a new batch, better quality for the price. Thank you! Store manager Charles, for you courteous service.
I haven’t had issues with this location.. now I don’t go during busy times tho. I have been asked to park with no other cars in line but whatever more work for them to walk out! I would imagine some sort of timing system is in the drive thru.. happens every where. Staff have always been friendly. The inside is very old but I like it! It’s clean and tidy! Food is always good! Harvey’s is great!!
Major complaint against your establishment that I will be bringing up with head office and with Doordash. Your employee, who refused to give me your name (the owner) and her name, wouldn't give me the Doordash order I was picking up at the window. She forced me to have to go back in my car and drive up instead. They also wouldn't let me inside to pick up the order which is the main problem here as your location is one of the only places in Ottawa that won't allow people to go in for takeout, especially delivery orders. You would rather the order gets cold instead? Are you that scared of Covid? In any case, your employee that I want to complain against was working today when I arrived at roughly 5pm or so and she refused to give me any information and wouldn't give me the delivery order. Completely unprofessional. One of the worst experiences I ever had doing deliveries
Ordered two meals at their drive-through service. When I presented a rebate coupon, the employee refused to take it, saying I had to let them know when ordering that I had a coupon. This is the first time that a business refuses to accept their own rebate coupons. I've presented rebate coupons AT WINDOW at McDonalds, A&W, Wendy's, Timmie's etc. without EVER being told that it is invalid unless you specifically mention it at the moment of ordering your meal. The employee just flat-out refused to adjust the price, instead demanding full payment. Cancelled my order, and I won't be visiting this location ever again! Completely unprofessional and unacceptable!
Very good burgers but I will say if you want a burger with texture (crunchy, juicy, crispy etc) Harvey’s is not for you. The burgers are smooth with not much texture, the lettuce is diced up without crunch, the bacon is chewy, the cheese is smooth and plastic like.In conclusion if you want a classic burger don’t go here but if you want Harvey’s this place makes good Harvey’s.
I love harveys, i have been going for over 15 years at least twice per month. This was the only bad experience i have ever had. Staff got my order wrong, were confrontational when approached "you must have asked for lettuce she wouldnt have clicked lettuce instead of ketchup if you didnt" literally did not believe me that the order was wrong how does that work? Hamburger came with 1 pickle its supposed to come with two, burger overcooked, i got lettuce didnt ask for lettuce, i asked for ketchup didnt get ketchup, burger came upside down, falling apart not put together correctly. Terrible service, food was terrible, presentation was absolutely terrible. Never coming back here and neither should you go to a better location
