Excellent Afghani food. The service was also great. Restaurant was clean. Food was served promptly and it was hot. Food was tasty.I ordered Combo dish while my wife ordered Sultani.
We went for a Chinese New Year dinner and the food was the only good thing about our experience. It was cold, the dishes and cups were dirty, we were the only ones dining in but were barely acknowledged and it took 15 minutes to get us seated. They also didn't serve us water until asked (but they never came out from the back) and didn't check our vaccine certificates. Really awful service so would not dine in and stick to takeout here.
Wow - seriously amazing food! Fresh and flavourful. It was my first time eating Afghani food and I now know I love it! Even basics like the naan and rice were absolutely perfect. Everything we ate was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Ordered the beef and chicken shami kabab and paid extra to upgrade a qabily rice but they forgot to add the qabily rice. The beef shami kabab is a bit too lean so it was dry and tough, and lacks seasoning. The chicken shami skewer on the other hand is very good with lots of flavour, soft texture, and retained some moisture. Food was prepared quickly.

I am not familiar with Afghan cuisine so I cannot say whether the food is authentic, but I can say it tasted fresh and we enjoyed it. Very generous quantity of food.4 stars because there seems to be major technical difficulties with takeout orders, and confusing opening hours.- I have tried several times over the course of a year to call them, but their phone number is never activated (does not even go to voicemail).- I put in a pickup order on their website, and got an order confirmation via email. I sent it to my husband to pick it up on his way home. When he arrived, the food should have been ready but it was not, and he said it seemed like they were just starting to make it. I noticed this happened with another reviewer. Usually I am skeptical about 1-star reviews but this seems to be a pattern.Everyone (incl 2 young kids) was hangry and we had plans after so the delay was a bit stressful.- 1-2 times over the past year, we went to the restaurant when it was supposed to be open and it wasn’t open.We have decided to not do takeout with them again, but will dine in (when we are sure they are open, and with a plan B in case they’re not open).
Excellent customer service. Held a small birthday party. Definitely will be a regular to this place. Food is really tasty along with friendly service.
This is a real nice joint. The service and all is what you would expect from a family run small resto - one server on. She handled the orders and brewed the tea. Makes a person feel right at home.The food is spot on and very authentic. A word of caution on the portions - they are very substantial. Dine lightly for lunch if you plan on having dinner here. Great value. Love it.
First time.there and last as well. Kebab was dry. Nothing was really fresh. Too bad because all afghan resteraunts in ottawa are good but can't say the same.about this one
