Super disappointed with the service. I get that I ordered during a really busy time and it seemed like they were understaffed. I came in for a takeout pickup, I was told that my order still wasn’t ready. So I waited about 5 minutes. I saw an order bag with my name on it and asked one of the staff if that was my complete order or if there was still something left. After some time she came back and told me that it was complete. I opened the bag to check and wanting to get it home to eat I thought everything was there. It shouldn’t be my job to check anyways. I realized once I got home that they had forgotten one of my items. Also the ribs were really over done than normal.
Tasty food ? , efficient and friendly staff. However, the jerk chicken wasn't well-seasoned ans soaked before prep.Also, I found it disgusting seeing some young guys seating in the corner while one of them was taken off his cornrow which isn't hygienic for the restaurant.They seems like family to the owner or something.

Shared the big smoke with a couple friends and it was FANTASTIC. the brisket melted in your mouth. The ribs were fantastically smoked with amazing bbq sauces. The jerk chicken had great spice and was so juicy. Pulled pork was over the top and tasted nice and juicy as well.The sides were all amazing in their own right. We got mac n cheese, beans, slaw and fries. The mac was obviously home cooked which was a great sign, beans were outstanding, and fries and slaw were great.Our server, Alesandro, was fantastic as well and really was the 'icing on the cake' for my first Fitz' experience. He made sure to establish a bond with us, and made sure we felt at home in this restaurant. What an outstanding experience and I am still taken aback by the taste of all the amazing bbq food.The next time I walk in, I know I'm gonna be grinning ear to ear like a child in a candy store.
They have the best brisket so be sure to try one of the many options on the menu that feature this. Service is good, menu is diverse and super yummy. Our family loves Fitz's for breakfast (the breafast poutine is delicious!) lunch or supper.
The food is so good, I love everything I've tried. It's fresh, got the right mix of spices, it's awesomeBut, the service is garbage. The server is so nice and Sonia everyone that works there, but we were there nearly 3 hours the last two times we went. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, over an hour for our appetizers and then kept waiting for food.
The food is always delicious and the corn bread is out of this world. Special mention to Shelley who was patient and helpful when I was having an issue with my credit card-her customer service was exceptional and much appreciated!
Was very apparent that they were out of practice with indoor dining but, man alive, they worked their butts off!! Our food was perfect and they apologized profusely for the wait. 5 stars all day long - standup job!
The absolute best BBQ in town! Love everything they do and their sauses are the bomb! The prices are good, portions are good.
My wife and I came here for the morning of our 60th anniversary. We both enjoyed a lovely breakfast to start our day. Friendly staff and great food. One of our favorite breakfast spots in Ottawa.
