Food tasted good as usual. Thank goodness.The menu has dropped some fav dishes.The service staff was abrupt and discourteous - to the point of rude. We had a group of 5 but added one more when the second group joined. The staff was flustered about seating us though the restaurant was 50% empty with 3 tables for 8 people vacant and without reservation sign. They kept pushing some of the more expensive dishes- casseroles with king mushroom- which none of us had liked in our previous visit. We had to be very firm in asking them to back off on suggestions.My husband and I would have left without eating but my in-laws (both in their 80s) were with us.Maybe Covid has changed the restaurant staff courtesy rules...
I am not vegan or vegetarian but I was more than pleasantly surprised and delighted with the food and with the atmosphere here. I would recommend this place to anybody who asked, so long as you keep an open mind. Great experience
Being a vegetarian, I always dine at zen whenever I visit my family here in Canada, from Australia. It has always been a pleasant experience but this time, the service was as rude and as unprofessional it could be. Food was below average and attitude of the staff was below the ground, in some kind of a parralel universe.Visit this place only at your own risk. You might make your good day a bad one and a bad one, a worst. Not recommended, at all.
Loved the place and ambiance. Staff is friendly and food is delicious. I tried Barbecue Seitan which is really good and taste like juicy chicken. Dumplings are little bit on drier side a dip would make it more edible. It’s a bit pricer but worth to try
Food delicious. Quiet location & due to the pandemic, they are still using single use utensil & plating (takeout boxes). Food really tasty & the quantity is ok. Price range is mid-pricey, but there is a good quantity of imitation meat in the food, which is an understandable price range. Definitely recommend this place, but the location is quiet odd, had to schedule some extra time to get there.
Beaing a vegetarian on 12th June I wanted to take out food at this restaurant. I looked at there menu and prices on line. I decided to go there and order it.What a surprise lady behind the counter told me that menu doesn't exist and she is not aware of it. When I showed her she denied it by saying she doesn't know who put on there website. Anyhow she also told me there is no take out menu and asked me to order it from their very pricey dine in menu and try to upsell me the dishes.I asked her if restaurant had Cantonese chow main and snd she pointed finger at menu and she said this is the one. So I ordered two items.Fried noodles at $14.99 and Kung Po soy Fritters for 19.99 plus tax. I got another surprise when I got home and looked at the noodels dish. It was just fried chow main not even close to Cantonese chow main dish as she explained. They give you very small quantity for the price they charge and food is taste less. I'll never visit this restaurant again

I visited this place on June 12th 2022I ordered three dishesSushi plater - rice smelled stale and tangy 1/10Dumplings - was 6/10Fried soy curry and rice - curry was 5/10 but rice again was cold and stale 1/10
Opted for Dine in. The staff there mentioned that they serve and use disposable cutlery only. We assumed some sturdy cutlery but it was plastic and it was very difficult to eat. The paper plate made it even harder to eat. Ordered Vegetable dumplings, sweet and sour eggplant, steamed rice, Vegetable fried rice and samosa (ordered by mistake). Vegetable fried rice and dumplings were okay. I personally did not like Sweet and sour eggplant. - it was very sweet. They had added corn in almost all the dishes that we ordered. Overall the food is expensive for the taste and quantity they provide.
Terrible experience, Terrible customer service, food not tasty at all! DO NOT COME HERE, PERIOD! Even if you don't like the food, they apparently have a policy that they won't return the food even if you don't like it, they don't care. Stay away from the seitan platter (tastes gross) and the eggplant casserole!
