Please be careful if you are vegetarian and ordering vegetarian food as you might end up having chicken in the food. When checked with restaurant, got the response as it's one kind of spice used in biryani. I don't know what do they think about customers, do they dont know the difference between chicken and spice used in cooking? So think twice before ordering the food there. Very disappointed with the response. Don't recommend this place.
Maharajah was one of the best restaurants in the GTA known for their Daal Makhni and Murg Lababdar but no more! The taste, consistency and quality has definitely changed/dropped. The thick flavourful daal that we once relished on has now turned to a run down watered version. The Murg Lababdar has lost it’s original taste and now is like an onion tomato ground paste with chicken pieces in it.Seems like the chef or the management has changed, I’ve been super loyal to this restaurant even through the pandemic but now I guess it’s time to move on to explore new places.I am writing after experiencing the same loss of taste and quality twice in a month.
We have ordered vegetarian take out several times in the last 2 years. Excellent place for authentic Indian dishes and they consistently maintained it even during this difficult pandemic. Every time we felt that the chef/cooks at this place are really passionate about what they serve. Each dish tasted different with its distinct blend of aroma/spice, which makes them stand out from the much crowded Indian food space in GTA. Wish we could order food with a lower salt level. This is my personal opinion as we thoroughly enjoyed the food.
One of the best tasting butter Chicken in Toronto GTA. Absolutely, authentic dal makhani and Amritsari fish. Loved the taste and can't wait for dine in to open. I seriously recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves butter chicken.
This place use to be good pre covid. The place has significantly gone down since then. The prices have increased and it doesn't justify the quality of food you receive. To much salt in the food and the taste is so off. Bring back the chef from before.
Excellent food and amazing customer service! I am really happy to find good Parsi/Indian food. I will definitely continue to order from here. Do not hesitate to buy from here...the portions are also great.
We ordered Shahi paneer, bangan bharta , makhini daal , naan and roties. We requested extra mild spicing. Shahi paneer and Makhani Daals are supposed to be mildly spiced. But what we got was very hot and extra spicy. It seems they prepared the base dishes in advance and were not able to adjust spice level. Naan was excellent though over priced, but tandoorie roties were very dry. My recommendations are that we you are not used to very spicy food than you should skip this restaurant.
Over hyped and over priced. The taste was nothing out of the ordinary.

The non vegetarian fare from Maharaja is amazing. We have tried the Non Vegetarian platter, gilawti kebab, chicken dum biryani and the daal makhani. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and the takeout was very well packaged.
