Love this place! Best place to get seafood boil and they have a variety of options to choose from. If you come before 4PM, you can get the sizzling plate which has a little bit of everything.

I was craving fish & chips and decided to give the captains boil spot a try, I went in thinking it was going to be an authentic fish & chips experience, after all... It's a sea food place and I thought it's their expertise - I was wrong, firstly I requested Cajun fries, in which I just received regular fries, secondly the fish is pre-battered and frozen... It's not fresh! I could've literally bought a frozen fish & chips box from any grocery store and it would've tasted the same. If sea food restaurant can't get the classic fish & chips right then I'd guess the rest of the menu. 1 star for the friendly staff.

Shrimps were very old and disgusting. They were very powdery and spoiled.Seafood fried rice had hair in it.Missed Dungeness crab orderFries were sloggy.Only thing was mussel was good.Rest I had to throw it off because the food quality was very poor. Waste of $160+.My whole dinner night was ruined.Never going back to same restaurants. I deserve a refund back.

What an awful experience! I don’t know what was worse, the food or the service. We ordered the Matey, comes with two different types of seafood, fried rice, fries, deep fried shrimp, 2 side orders and 1 premium side order. We got the mussels and shrimp with lemon pepper sauce. The shrimp was extremely overcooked and the mussels were decent, just very very salty since they soak in the sauce with an open shell. All this was around $94 with tax but without tip and I regret it. What a waste of money because we couldn’t even finish the meal. For a restaurant that wasn’t busy, the service was absolutely awful. We didn’t have plates or cutlery, not even bibs or gloves. It took a while for the server to acknowledge us and no one comes around to fill up water cups. I don’t know if this was an off dinner service, but it is extremely disappointing when you’re paying over $100. On top of that, someone needs to keep an eye on the washrooms. The fact that all three of your female washroom toilets were dirty is not a good sign.

The captains boil…. One of the best seafood place in town. The concept is just mind boggling. Choose your mains, choose your flavours and spice levels. The ambience is sports bar. Lovely staff and great serviceMy favourite Shrimp - Cajun- medium spicy.Going back there in a few days

Nice experience.Starting off with the vibes and the design, the place is really well done and the vibes are awesome. We were served by Paul and he did AMAZING.Both their signature sauce and the cajun sauce were very delicious.2 stars down:One only comment I have is regarding the shrimps, most people find the vein unpleasant in which all shrimps should be deveined, it takes nothing to do so at the kitchen.

The food on it's own was great, the portions were reasonable. Our server however was nonexistent. She came by after 30+ minutes of being seated and did not reappear until after we asked the manager for to go boxes (after being in the restaurant for another hour). We were kind and courteous through our entire visit, however, our table was constantly skipped over. We were not checked on, were not able to order any other beverages, including water. Our meal was missing items which we were never able to ask for as servers were no where to be found. We even organized and cleared our table before leaving to ensure clean up was simply removing the brown paper from the table and the metal fry tray. Very disappointed in our visit and will not return to this location.
