I liked the sushi, well made, good rice to filling ratio. Rice was not stale. A bit on the expensive side (reason for 4 stars), but give the maki rolls a solid 5.
We have been to numerous Sushi places in many cities and we are so happy we have one of our favourites right around the corner. We have ordered several meals from SushiMaki House and never been disappointed. Great quality, fair portions and always a friendly smile from the owners ! Highly recommend !! Bo
This is one of my favourite sushi spots. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, and the sushi is amazing. The spicy salmon roll is my personal favourite. Overall definitely a place to try!
I always order sushi from Sushi Maki House. Best sushi in town and the nicest staff. Jeff and Mimi always make me feel so welcomed. Their food is delicious and very generous portions. Rolls are mostly meat and veggies, not so much rice which is so good!
We ordered the Chirashi and Sushi C via SkipTheDishes. It was one of the worst sushi meals we've had.The fish was old and seemed like it had not been properly defrosted. The tuna was inedible and fishy. Most of the other fish was mushy. The salmon was somewhat decent.The sushi chef doesn't seem to know what they're doing. The fish wasn't sliced the right way (a wide flat piece that was mostly skin and other oddities) and had not been properly descaled.The chirashi had a pitiful amount of rice -- there was more of the shredded radish and beet than rice. It was like they'd made a sashimi dish and then added a bit of rice.To top it off: the presentation was terrible. It was thrown into the styrofoam containers with no thought to how it looked.All around low quality and low effort.
Ordered the small maki tray for my family. Was delicious and plated well. The sushi rice is really nice compared to other sushi places around the location. Only downside was I had to wait for a few minutes after arriving on time. Highly recommend it if you like maki!
Not tasty and no value fir 18$...That's how much if salmon from Poke I have to leave, because it's all fat from belly part, which impossible to eat. So I paid for rice and veggies... Not happy
First time here and I ordered the Beef Udon soup. Flavourless and bland. Sorry Sushi Maki House, but for $15 a pop...u need to do better. I hope it was an off day.
