Trini here. Does flavour exist at this establishment anymore? Or is that a thing of the past. Lately the food has been tasting what we like to call.." a hard day wuk." Meaning...no effort. If I think this, Lord knows what actual Yardies think. My goodness. 0 flavour. 0 authenticity. Jamaican restaurants are like McDonalds. They're all over. Step up your game or lose out on your bottom line. Re-train chef.

I always order through Uber eats. I try and call every time to find out what the soup of the day is but either nobody answers the phone or it goes straight to some automated message. So I order the soup anyways since it’s usually good but EVERY TIME it’s the red pea soup… why call it soup of the day if it’s red pea every time!!? Their chicken soup has way too much thyme and that’s all you can taste. One time they sent lamb head soup instead of red pea which I actually hope for every time I get soup of the day.. but no it’s 99% time red pea soup.. they should just put the red pea on the menu if that’s all they serve anyways.. tired of the disappointment lol if someone could let me know which days they serve other soup than red pea that would be great!

Spent $70 on food and the large meals are technically mediums!!! Small amount of chicken small amounts of rice!!! The roti’s are very small too… stingy place!!! Go elsewhere save your money! Food wasn’t the greatest either, smh ?

i ordered breakfast ockra/salfish with provisions. My only complaint is the tiny amount of saltfish . I got around 4-5- tiny pieces. Truly a ridiculous small portion of saltfish. I could barely see/taste the salt fish i kid you not. I would give them 5 stars if only they put more saltfish. On to the good stuff. Usually when i order provisions with my food from jamaican restaurants i only get 2 provisions -- boiled green bananna and boiled dumplings. Sunrise sent 4 provisions -- bolied dumpling, boiled bananna, boiled ripe plaintain and yellow yam. I must say I was very pleased with the amount of provisions I recieved and the overall taste of the food. Their fried dumpling taste good too.

Ordered this morning ackee and salt fish with cornmeal porridge first of all when I ordered this I forgot to add an extra fried dumpling to my order which I should have called to confirm how many pieces came with it i did call after placing my order to find out only 3 pieces came with the order long story short I just got my order from Uber eats and to my surprise the lady was nice enough to add in the extra piece for me thank you so much!! Food is yummy !

Was gd plaza there also has more variety to choose from

Feeling like my hard working money have being rob because I don't get my money worth the cashier stingy seems she want to bring the customer food home food is good respect chef

The stew chicken was dry and not stewed at all - no sauce just goop. I think they may have been trying to pass off what they call BBQ chicken as stew chicken but if so that is dodgy and it tasted bad - canned sauce and definitely not what I know as stew chicken. The oxtail stew was okay but again barely any sauce. The rice and peas where skint on peas and lacked flavour. The festivals were large and tasted good. The plantain was well done. The steamed veggies - about a table spoon of steamed cabbage. For $21 and $25 a plate (price changed at check out but maybe that had something to do with ordering through Ube eats) - three meals of poor quality ended up costing us more than $60.00I would recommend you save you money and order from somewhere else unless you know their food and like it.

Customer service was good, however I did not get exactly what I ordered. The food itself was ok, I will but from this location in the future.

I only go there for their festival and some days, even that's a hit or miss. The ambience in the restaurant is so dreary, I don't really like going. Not the friendliest people working there either. Usually a last resort for me.
