?? I will go back. I am glad we gave this place a try because it was really good. We got the Jerk Chicken and the Stew Chicken meal with rice & peas and slaw. Jerk only a little spice but you can probably ask for more. The stew chicken was mild - both delicious. Didn’t take a pic because we ate it so fast. Good portion size and you can add more meat for $6.It was like a tasty Jamaican home cooked meal. The resturant also gets points for cleanliness. Good little spot!
I used to eat at this restaurant years ago under the previous ownership and it was great. I recently visited and although the place looks much better post-renovation, the food quality has gone down significantly. The jerk chicken I ordered was barely warm, and had no spice at all. There was also a strange sweetness to the rice and peas that wasn’t great. The worst part: when I asked for a knife the employee took one from a dirty pile of utensils under the bar, rinsed it under some water, dried it off and handed it to me. No soap used and needless to say I didn’t use it. Overall not a good experience
I don't think customer service is a concern here, nor do they care if you ever come back. Your presence as a customer is more of a bother than a welcome guest, and you may not get all the dishes you order and pay for. What you get may be frozen, because they didn't bother to cook it..you won't find any of this out until after you've already paid and given your tip. Had I known they forgot a dish and didn't prepare another I would have simply said forget those two and I'll pay for these and go on with my dinner. Definitely regret the tip. Frustrating experience all around.
I used to go to the location when Tomas operated the restaurant sadly he passed away.. then his wife tried to run the restaurant she couldn't do it.... So now the restaurant is 100% renovated and it looks great... And now it has that brotherly feel to it.not to mention the food and great menu. I have been coming here since the day it was taken over by new management.. all the items on the menu are tasty try it out especially the beef patties and the jerk chicken
This USED to be our favorite spot in Ssauga for Caribbeann dishes. Most recent visit the oxtail was incredibly tough and the other dish goat was not as savory as past . Service also was lacking and there was only 2 tables in house....not sure what is going on. Seem to be more about the presentation now than the quality....I work in FnB so I know what I know and this is an honest opinion. hope they can get back on track. I'll give em one last shot and if no improvements then we need a new go to spot
This place was recently renovated, and looks a bit more upscale now. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, generous portions. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch special, and it took about 5 minutes to arrive. Jerk chicken, peas and rice, and coleslaw, plus a soft drink, for about the price of a fast food combo. Excellent Jamaican food. Soft hip hop music in the background, and a nice chill atmosphere.
You won't be disappointed eating here! Every menu item is finger licking good! Both locations are solid. ? JA style.
Sooo… good. Great service! Friendly staff! Tasty food! Very accommodating!
I had heard that this was a great place but honestly this is the worst Jamaican food I have ever had.
Order lunch for staff at work. Daniel was very helpful and patient with all my calls and order. Everyone love the food! Will definitely order again! Nicole
