Terrible Service!!!! Will never go there again. Bad place, Bad food and Bad owner!!!. Rasovara has horrible staff catering to its customers. Never i have seen a worst place like this restaurant. Owner after reading feedbacks of customers doesn’t acknowledge the restaurant’s poor service but shows arrogance like “ i will return your money”!!!!! Lol this restaurant is not meant to be in the customer service business. Absolute bad service.
Excited to try coz of wife recommendation.Premium price 25.99 on the weekends and weekend start off Friday evening.Nothing exceptional for the price. Only average food served.Dal was too sweet for me and khadi is as well and also had pungent curd smell which I didn't like.Panner gravy was tasteless. Dal bhati , roti , poori are only dish i got extra serving. Not satisfied as not all the dishes from thali menu were served ( salad, papad, dhokla)
Have been here twice! The first time their thali was really good. They had a lot of dishes and they tasted good. However on my second visit , I specifically came for the dal baati thali and was disappointed. Everything on the thali was too sweet. I did not really enjoy eating the dal baati too. Overall it’s a good place to go to if you’re craving veg food. The service and ambience is okay.
One of the good places for Authentic Rajasthani thali. The thali has almost 10-15 different items. The food quality is good. Everything was pretty standard. Extra star for keeping it simple and sweet.A couple of negative stars for the restaurant rules, where we order a couple of items from the menu ( other than thali items) but they refused to serve them on the table. The response was “it’s just available for takeout only” ?. Service is good but kinda slow. For the given price the thali option is definitely worth it. Gonna visit again for sure..
We got their unlimited thali as we had to get refills for couple of items. Most of the curries tasted good. (need to have a palate for North Indian cuisine)Liked their Rajasthani dal, Aloo curry, Aamras and hot puris. Special shout out for their Bhaingan barta. Liked the texture and unique charred flavour.Few items that I didn't quite enjoy were Khaman (which was dry) and Gujarati dal & Kadi (which was way sweeter for my palate)Over all a nice vegetarian meal experience. Serving size is pretty good size. My advice would be to start off with a limited Thali and upgrade to unlimited if needed.
Lovely food! Great service. My wife was craving for dal baati churma which drove us here and I must say the restaurant surpassed all our expectations!
Excellent experience! They went above and beyond and the food was remarkable. The manager Ashok was extremely hospitable and making sure all guests were taken care of. All servers were on their best game and didn't have to wait for anything. This is the place if you are craving authentic Gujarati/rajasthani cuisine! Will definitely be back. 10/10
Opted for the premium thali (unlimited servings). This is the way that Indians traditionally eat their meals (such as Gujaratis.) - there are no separate courses, all items are served in a "thali", a dish with various sections / separate smaller bowls to hold different items (such as curries, dal, etc.) At Rasovara, this consisted of a disposable "thali" and 5 bowls. The savoury "snacks" consisted of dhokla and fried rice papad. Didn't even have a decent selection of 2 savoury snacks - "papad" doesn't count as such, pls!Curries included one with peas, cauliflower and potatoes (dry), one with paneer (with gravy), one with flour dumplings and gravy (Rajasthani "gatte" curry) and one with potatoes and eggplant.Dal was the traditional Gujarati style "toor" dal (completely cold ☹️). Pleasantly surprised to find boiled peanuts in the dal. There needs to be an allergy advice / warning given to customers - both on their website and bef ore patrons place their orders. Also there was "dal, bati churma" - a Rajasthani dish - with some ghee drizzled into to the dal, if preferred. This dal was cold.Sweets included "gulab jamun" and "monthal".There were 2 chutneys - a tamarind based and another was the popular green chutney.Salad comprised of sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and onions with some "masala" sprinkled on it.There was plain rice (traditionally, rice and dal is mixed to finish the meal.)A bottle of water was provided with the meal.No "chaas" (buttermilk) is served - I checked with the one of the servers. Clearly not what their website describes and what is shown in their various posts.Had to keep waiting between servings and tried to enjoy the "thali"experience - the idea is good but fails in the execution.Over priced, slow service, cold food.PS If one has ever had a "thali" at restaurants in India (especially in Mumbai and around Gujarat), you know what I mean. The items served are hot, the quick frequency of the servings and there's many more choices / varieties available - the savoury snacks, curries, dal, kadhi, papad, sweets, etc.
I liked the concept of serving in Patravali plates ( eco friendly). The food was terrible though except Undhiyu, which was really good. Food was cold and they were out of breads. We paid for unlimited Thali but they were out of 3 items after serving us 1 round.
My taste buds were delighted to have delicious and authentic mix of Rajasthani and Gujrati thali in Canada. Awe-inspiring ambience of restaurant with a touch of Rajasthani decor. Quality cusines like Daal Baati, Churma, Gujrati Dal, Bajra roti with desi ghee, and lot more. Staff is amicable and made dine-in experience amazing. Must visit place!!
