Came here for an anniversary dinner, as we were married in the area 10 years ago. We ate on the patio at about 7pm and were seated quickly. It was very busy on the patio/street area but we wanted to sit out and enjoy the local scene. We ordered a spinach dip, roast beet salad, and a steak and blues salad, with an apple Betty for dessert. The spinach dip was huge, hot and delicious and our salads were very large and absolutely perfect. We washed it all down with a local IPA and a glass of wine which paired well with the meals. The dessert was a bit of a let-down as it was just OK. It just tasted bland and average. Overall a very excellent meal and a great, bustling spot to people watch.
The location is great, nestled on Lakeshore in downtown Port Credit, it's busy, but not overwhelming. The staff are friendly and caring. The food is excellent, big portions fit the price value. Great place to go and watch sports at the bar or hang out with friends in the lounge area.
Wait staff are amazing. Food is tasty. Price per portion is okay. The menu was limited. Some items were not available. Kitchen was very slow. Waited an hour and half after ordering. Not cool. Was there on a weekday, the place was not full and again there was a limited menu. The wait staff are charming customers for you kitchen. Pick it up. Washrooms are clean. Free WiFi.
I could not have a worse review for Pump House on Lakeshore. We had the worst visit and just left. This is most prompt review I’ve ever written. Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The only table seated outside on their right patio. Only ordered two drinks and two mains. Our drinks came out, they were pretty good. Did not see anyone, a single customer or server, for the next 35 minutes until our food came out… cold. We spoke with the owner who did not care to offer a solution or seem overly interested in anything we had to say. Would highly discourage anyone from considering coming here. Of all downtown Port Credit’s restaurant offerings, this is by far the worst establishment operating.
Good food. Awesome drinks. If you're lucky enough to be served by Christine, you're in for the best Port Credit dining experience. Quite possibly the best communicating, hard working server we have ever met. Thanks Christine. 5 stars. (10 if we could)
We arrived at the restaurant. We asked how long the wait would be considering it was a holiday and everywhere was busy. We then asked if we could sit outside. It was confirmed within minutes that we could and we were taken to a corner table as there was 5 of us. Our server was great. Didn't get her name, I don't recall if she said it and I missed it. Either way she was great. She provided of glasses of water while we were deciding on drinks, then she came back with our drinks to take our food order. Now that was a wait. I wish I noted the time we placed our order. There was a family of 4 that were seated after us. I don't think their order was much different from ours but they were served first which sucked. Anyway, our server said she would check on our order. She returned and said "should be our in 3 mins". Which it wasn't. Maybe 10 mins later. I didn't think our order was that complicated. We had a double order of wings, sweet potato fries, fish and chips, chicken quesadillas and a poutine. Everything looked amazing. The poutine however was so salty. It tastes like a salt lick. Yuck. The cruds were still cold meaning the gravy wasn't hot enough to melt them before coming out. And the gravy on top was cold meaning it was sitting for awhile. Everything else was delicious. Other than that, I would recommend this restaurant just not the poutine unless you like lots of salt.
Great location
Had Christine as our waitress and all I have to say is this lady is a wonderful person and the best waitress I have ever had! Had a gathering of approximately 35 people and she was the only waitress. She never let a drink go dry, appetizers were set out for 7 tables which arrived hot, food was coordinated for 35 people and basically most people got their food at the same time. Service was excellent!!! The food was delicious and worth the cost. Thank you Christine for making this birthday celebration 3ven that more special.
I met some friends for a leisurely weekend lunch here. It was a wonderful experience. We were sat in the back upper area, lots of privacy and very comfortable. I had the market vakue steak, which was a NY strip. It was a really nice steak at around 14 oz. Cooked perfectly and served with a side of smashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. I didn't have to eat dinner that night!
My 5th time at this place in last 2 months. Amazing experience! Really enjoy the vibe this place creates. Great food and great service! Thanks to Kaylee and Carly! Had a great time!See you guys next time
