Great place to buy sweets and great hospitality. Everything was laid out beautifully and regularly approached by staff in case we need help. Plenty of options including frozen desserts. There is a section for dining as well. It appears they take bookings for large events. I definitely recommend a visit to this place.Plenty of parking too.
For folks who like Bengali/Bangladeshi food - this place is amazing. The Goat Rezala was buttery smooth and flavorful. Sorse Illish was good. Murg Pulao was amazing.Sweets were decent too. The service takes time and it was informed when we were ordering food. I would rather have the chef making it than things getting microwaved.Overall - totally recommend. It is not exactly cheap but it is totally worth it.
Their Halim was worst. Too much salt in it , I bet I can make better halim than them. It costs $13 I guess but the quantity is not enough for 2 people. I forgot to take a photo of Halim. But their sweets are delicious. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations
Great experience in terms of food and service. Amy was amazing. Packed extra biryani for home. Going to try the sweets too ?
The Bengali sweets variety is amazing and the store cleanliness is just unbelievable!Recently I have found the prices to be exorbitant and even some sweets the quality is not like before.Display of everything is just so neat and tempting and a lot of hygiene is practiced by the servers. The food part honestly I have never really cared for anything that I can say was outstanding.Their mishti doi in clay pot was missing which gave it the real flavour. Bought the other container and did not enjoy it as much. I will sum it by saying do go for the Bengali sweets as you will not get them elsewhere with so much variety.
Last weekend, I visited the 1999 headquarters of Premium Sweets in Mississauga, Toronto, specialising in paneer (or Ricotta)-based “Finest Bengal Mithai”. This spot is the place for Bengali sweets and savoury eateries. I got my hands on a couple of my favorite sweets: Kancha Sana, Vogh Sagar, Khir Toast, Khir Kodom, Roll Shondesh, Sanar Toast, Cham Cham, and Nadia Shondesh. My favourite was the Khir Toast, the perfect amount of freshness and deliciousness. This place emphasizes nostalgic cravings over plain hunger, giving flavourful savoury dishes for an instant joyous family dining experience. There are over 100 authentic Bengali desserts, along with slow-cooked savoury dishes and ready-to-eat meals. The brand has a sophisticated interior, selective packaging, and a great service in an upmarket setting that compliments the lifestyle of Bangladeshi people. Interested in gift wrapping, more sweets, customized platters, live catering, and party rooms ~ check this place out!To hear about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram and Facebook.
It’s so nice trying food from different cultures and I finally got to try this well known Bengali vendor. It was very busy here and for good reason as I went during Diwali weekend. It’s a really great place to get sweets.I also got to try the food here and what I like about this type of south Asian food is that it is very mild. Usually I find south Asian food spicy but this offered great mild options. I only found the food a bit dry so suggest ordering a curry to avoid this if you are looking for something like this!My only suggestion is to go during non busy times and off peak hours. They also have multiple locations in the GTA. Make sure to check them out!
Our dine-in experience on 23rd Nov 2021 was terrible. The goat rezala was served at room temperature. When we politely asked the hostess/waitress she said she "literally got it from the kitchen". That doesn't change the fact that the meat being served is at room temperature which can be deadly. The food itself was a huge mixed bag. I was hoping she would offer to heat it again but that didn't happen. The samosas ("shingara") were quite good and have a unique vegetarian stuffing that's quite tasty. The bhel puri is a huge failure with hardly any flavor profile at all. The "hot chot Poti" is basically a hot chaat without the "hot" aspect. I think if you are from any part of India apart from Bengal, you might find the food here to be light on flavor and heavy on prices. I tried. I shall skip the dining altogether next time and just pick up the desserts/sweets for gifting.
Halim was so so so yummy ? Halal food Alhamdulillah.
It was like being left alone in a sweet fantasy land. The word to describe the fragrance, smell and taste of this sweets wonderland is not yet coined. Its simply sweetilicious. Purchase their Misthi Doi, (remarkable and brings the memory of Bengal to your tongue) and Was Malai. Though the actual sweet was delicious, the syrup was a little watery. I know its a bit far from my place, but I am going to go back for more of their heavenly sweets. Friends, if you enjoy and have a sweet to the like me, here is the place to visitm- and to hell with your waistline.
