Amazing experience at this authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Hidden gem in an industrial area. Owner/manager was very welcoming and friendly. Delicious unique dishes along with delicious pho broth and flavours. 50km drive well worth it
I went here with my family and I have to say, the food is absolutely amazing! I ordered the medium size pho with Vietnamese coffee and Vietnamese spring roll. The taste is great with a nice scent to it, the meat portion was amazing as well! Service here is top notch and respectful. Beautiful decor and scenery in the restaurant! Will definitely be coming back!
Nice foods nice view , nice staffs
Hands down best aesthetics and decor for a Vietnamese restaurant. It is authentic, servers are in dress shirts, polite staff and they even sell some Vietnamese food items up front. If you pay cash, you get a slight discount. Note, you do have to go up front to pay.The vermicelli was really good! Decent portions, great flavours and amazing presentation. Everything was perfected. The mango salad was flavourful with a hint of sourness to it. It is a bit on the pricier side relative to other Vietnamese restaurants but definitely worth the price.Would come back again to try their other dishes next time! It is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA now.
Travelling from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA to Halifax and just road tripping through Canada. ABSOLUTELY WORTH getting off the freeway and Google Maps takes you right to it - easy, easy, easy. Maybe 5 minutes off freeway! Pho Ngoc Yen Restaurant got great reviews on Yelp and my husband likes unusual food so we went to this place (I can always find something to eat and I carry a protein bar because I have to be gluten-free). Was out of our way and behind a shopping center in like an industrial area; bland looking from outside....starting to worry... THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION OF OUR TRIP. Go to this restaurant. Welcoming, friendly, excellent 5 Star Service Lovely oasis inside with a tranquil hum of joy humming around you Very comfortable causal, charming atmosphere I DO NOT LIKE VIETNAMESE food but I LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!!! Excellent fresh veggies, carefully seasoned and complementing each other and the meat. Their pork was spectacular. My husband had shrimp and chicken Pad Thai and said it was terrific! We had some kind of weird dessert with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit set in a black seeded looking sauce and I thought - Oh...I don't think so...It may have been the BEST DESSERT of my life except for my grandma's homemade hot peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. All kinds of people here and many Asian families with happy, well behaved lovely children! It was like going to visit wonderful caring family! We HIGHLY REOMMEND going to this restaurant. We went for quick bite (and they are as fast or as slow as you like). We went for a quick bite and left with a wonderful memory of excellence all the way around!!! All servers were wearing masks and the first thing our host did was sanitize his hands!
My son recently visiting from the USA treated me to a belated Mothers Day dinner at this "Authentic" Vietnamese restaurant. We had dined here on a Sunday and we didn't expect the place to be full because my son called to reserve but the restaurant said to just come and walk in. Secondly its location was in an industrial zone near the airport so we were thinking maybe its a quiet Sunday. The Positives: 1. Service was very fast even if there were a lot of customers we had our orders in less than 10 minutes after ordering. 2. The food presentation was excellent 3. They had huge servings. If you dine here you can share one order with two persons. The Areas For Improvement: I wont consider these items as negatives but they can improve on these areas: 1. They can offer small, medium and large portions of each dish. Currently only Pho has a medium and large portion, As I said most orders are good for 2-3 persons. 2. Although the food presentation is very good, the taste is no different from other restaurants that we have patronized. Some have even better tasting food. 3. The 2 page menu is extensive but they could provide photos of each item on the menu to guide non Vietnamese diners on how the food looks like. Despite the place being full we were ushered into our table and served food fast.
Located a little out of the way in an industrial complex, this is definitely as other reviewers have said, a hidden gem. Very tasty food, and some unique offerings that I’ve never tried before at a Vietnamese restaurant! Service is also quick and attentive, and I could overheard some staff happily conversing with some regulars at another table about their families as well. It feels like this restaurant is well established in the area, especially as the parking lot seemed to be filled mainly for this restaurant alone! Would definitely recommend and come back again!
Not only is this place beautiful to be in but the food is absolutely scrumptious too!I know I know the plastic cup for vietnamese coffee is usually a bad sign but I think it tasted really good! Mango papaya salad - awesome (maybe a bit too much basil for my taste but that's preference). Pho of course delicious and quite clean. Vermicelli with assorted sides - loved it.If you're nearby, I would recommend on ambience alone :)
Loved it from the moment I walked in. We were travelling through the area. Saw the great reviews and weren’t disappointed. Quick, hot, great service, great food. Loved it
The very definition of a hidden gem!Completely unassuming exterior in an industrial area. Walk through the doors and you are transported to a setting that is genuinely homey and comfortable inside. There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around, but this is a category above! Portion size is great, taste is outstanding.A big draw is that they have genuine vegan options, including the pho. Owner told me her parents were Monks so they are experienced preparing strictly vegan food that tastes fantastic.
