Decided to treat ourselves to @papagiuseppes for my Pretend Retirement meal and it was phenomenal!!!The Lobster Ravioli is in the most divine sauce that if it were polite to lick the plate - it would have happened. The lunch special pizza of Tomato and Pepperoni was delicious and word to the wise - dip the crust in the sauce from the pasta?. Their Caesar Salad is super generous and yummy and their desserts are also fantastic - @gannieincanada had the Blueberry Cheesecake and I had (of course) Tiramisu - heaven!Fantastic service and located right in downtown Port Credit - a must visit for anyone who hasn’t been yet!Instagram @lifeinmyhoodie
This restaurant looks so cute from the outside that we just had to explore it on the inside! It reminds me of Lady and the Tramp with the cute decor inside. It is a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly too. Apparently some of the staff have been there since around the time it opened 11 years ago! Now that is some serious retention. The food tasted authentically amazing and the portions were quite large! The kids menu items were the same size as some other restaurant's adult sized items. The highlight had to be the Tiramisu! The fresh whipped cream was light and perfectly sweetened. It is too bad that this restaurant is not in Calgary or we'd go very often. This restaurant is a complete winner! I am not surprised that it has been open for 11 years.
We had a great night. Had our dinner out at the heated patio which was just the right temperature. Our server, Brett was quite helpful in navigating the types of pizza and options for our palette. We went with a customized Margherita pizza with Italian sausage and a side of cacio et pepe. Brett also recommended the wines for us and it paired quite well with our meal. The cherry on top was the lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Loved the ambience, the food quality and the service.
Excellent level of service, food was outstanding, the pasta, the presentation, flavor, balance on the ingredients, fresh ingredients.. we loved the place. highly recommend!!.. Even the Italian Beer was delicious!!.. our anfitrion was Brett and he was very helpful on every request and carefully on every single detail.. we had an fantastic Dinner and Excellent Experience!!..
Great restaurant hidden away on Lakeshore. It took me a couple of tries to see it.Came here for dinner with a friend. They didn't take reservations and said it was first come first serve, so maybe call in advance to see if they are busy. The wild mushroom bruschetta is oh so delicious. Lots of flavourful mushroom and the bread isn't toasted rock hard. This is great for those who have issues chewing harder things. The Margherita pizza is tasty but I'd say it's pretty average. I like the thin crust but I wish it was more chewy, the basil could be cooked on the pizza instead of fresh, and the sauce could use more flavour. My friend ordered the beef ravioli which he enjoyed immensely.I'll come here again with family to try other items on the menu.
We got Al Pollo pizza ( a thin crust pizza)It was ok. Not worth the priceNot worth the hype. Taste is really plain. They have dine in option available.Small cute place.Free Parking is available behind the pizza location. Location is bit tricky but is right next to it.Staff is really friendly
A Saturday dinner out at a place we have missed for a few years…..Well no problem as we had a spectacular dinner. Started with calamari served hot with lemon and dipping sauces a great beginning! Then on to Lobster ravioli and Mushroom sacchetti pasta both excellent dinners and we almost licked the plates. With a glass of wine made for a great dinner.
Food was pretty plain, didn’t have much taste, and given all this and the portion size, was not exactly worth the price paid. Perhaps dine in experience is better.
Authentic Italian at Port Credit. All the items in the menu are worth it. Must visit, will be visiting very soon
We've been to Papa Giuseppe's many times. But it has been quite a while admittedly since we have gone. We recently had the pleasure of going there on a whim after a hockey game at the poor credit arena. As we remembered it is a cozy and quaint place that provides the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that we remember. The menu hasn't changed much which can be a good or bad thing but in my case because I am a creature of habit, it is a good thing. The pasta I had was known as pasta which is a generous helping fettuccine mixed in with some rapini and sausage. Very Hardy, very satisfying and very delicious. Our server's name is Grant and he was really attentive to our needs and provided excellent feedback to all the questions that we had. The food was served piping hot and in a very timely manner. As far as Costco the pricing is relatively average for what you get so in my opinion a good deal. There's ample parking in the back near the library and when we went it was for free. There is ample seating in the rear of the restaurant which is a covered patio but on that particular night we opted to stay in the restaurant because it was a bit colder. Overall our experience there continues to be very good and is actually now our go-to restaurant for Italian food. If you're looking for good food, good portions, great service, and a date like atmosphere.. look no further and make your way over to Giuseppe's on Lakeshore.
