I tried this place for the first time over my favourite sushi places. It was on Saturday May 14 at 7:30 pm.I called ahead of time to make a reservation as I use to every time, but when I got there with my family we were the only customers at that time. Later on another table was occupied. The place is small and the service is average to low, even though there was no other customers. The food was good with good presentations but not extraordinary. I found the prices a bit too high for the quality of the restaurant.
We waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. Then waited another 30 minutes...at this point we just got up and walked out because we were hungry and have been ignored for 40 minutes.Hee's sushi across the street has better prices and great staff and is our usual go-to. We decided to try momiji because Hee's was closed for equipment maintanence.Would not recommend.
Food - overpricedWait staff - impatient, forgetful, and rudeThe other comments here are accurate. There are way better places to go for the price. Seems the restaurant forgot how to treat dine in customers since the pandemic, as they were largely prioritizing the skipthedishes and UberEATS drivers over us. Honestly, we felt rushed and forgotten.
This place has been one of my go-to sushi places for the past two years.Today, ordered my regular take-out and now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to eat a sushi combo without chopsticks. They've been pretty impressive until now. Guess having in-person dining again after all these years dulled their take-out prep skills. Not impressed.
Momiji chef prepares fresh and delicious sushi meals. The service was pleasant and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We plan to come back often. If you find delight in super fresh and delicious sushi meals Momiji will not disappoint you.
A very popular neighborhood japanese resto. Busy place with dine in patrons as well as take out/pickups.We had udon and sushi, all delicious.
We ordered dragon rolls and spider rolls. The rolls were fresh but it’s not fresh sushi grade fish for $60 for a take out dinner for 2. There are equally good places that are worth your money. So unless you want to spend your money just because you want to, you have lots of other equally good options.
Very nice food, very welcoming staff and a quiet place to have a nice meal with peace of mind.
Love this restaurant! Their sushi quality is excellent and their staff are kind and hugely helpful.
