A very homey atmosphere with food that exceeds the price being charged. I had an omelette that was not overly heavy/greasy and the potatoes included were cooked just right. Maggie served our table the entire time and was extremely attentive. I even got a little pot so I could refill my hot water. Free street parking available outside or across the street and would definitely recommend to locals and non-locals alike!
This diner is a hidden gem near Richards Park. Drove by this diner so many times but never noticed til recently. Not much parking out front, so we had to park on a side street. I had the eggs benedict florentine and my husband had the meat lovers omelette. We were there on Sunday before noon, service was fast and the food was delicious!
Went for Easter brunch. DIVINE spinach and hummus omelette (in photo). Quite a unique combination. Worth a try.Pancakes (separate order, not in photo) were fluffy and tasty, didn't even need syrup (but that's cause I don't like things too sweet. They also have delicious poutine, gravy had a distinct taste.Place was full on Easter brunch (if that's any indication of how good the food is). Don't expect the ambience to be good. It's a regular diner feel.
THE BEST PLACE EVER! I went with a friend and I was super pleased to get Maggie as my server. She was super helpful and gave lots of great recommendations. Both my friend and I had the eggs benny and let me tell you! AMAZING! It was so flavourful. I am definitely coming back here!
After reading all the good reviews I decided to try this place out myself with family. And let me just say, Maggie's did not disappoint. The service was extremely friendly, the portion sizes were huge! Very filling and good prices. Will come back again !
Cook is rude, the waitress Maggie was also not very pleasent when I let her know they didn't cook the eggs how I asked, and burnt my toast. Was not apologetic. Potatoes had a very old look to them and tasted very off/rancid. I would suggest to go some where else and pay a little bit more.
Poorly packaged takeout/delivery. Out of GF toast - no offer to change - still charged me. Bacon was chewy and undercooked. Waffle tasted like cardboard - they did not send any syrup. Much better restaurants in the same area.
I have driven past this place hundreds of times before stopping, and let me tell you it is really great. Everything is delicious, the eggs Benny and pancakes are great. I would definitely suggest you stop driving by and check this place out. Also convenient location close to the lake make it a great way to start the day.
Had a special family breakfast for 6 planned. Ordered food for pick up between 9:30-9:45. They called at 9:15 to say the food is ready so when I got there at 9:30, the food was stone cold. They packaged hot and cold food together so the whip cream on the Strawberry Waffles was melted and the waffle soggy. Ok, breakfast is a hard meal to transport hot, so no problem BUT, they forgot an entire meal. We made do but based on this, we will never order here again. No refund or acknowledgement. They must have know they had an extra meal at the restaurant. Disappointed.
Best diner ever! We were lucky enough to have Maggie help us and she made great recommendations. We loved everything we ordered but the eggs Benny was one of the best we ever had. The service was very quick and excellent. Will definitely be back!
