I had lunch here this afternoon with my spouse let me start by saying that service was good no issues there. The restaurant was busy the atmosphere could be more pleasant if they turned down the music it was difficult to have a conversation and a relaxing meal. As for the food we ordered the Caesar salad it was edible..the ratio to romaine lettuce and kale was definitely off it was basically all kale the ingredients and portion not equal to 13.95. We also ordered 3 carne asada tacos we had high hopes for these but again they did not meet expectations .The meat was extremely salty it was very off putting. We ate them anyway but did mention this issue to our server . She was very understanding and genuinely apologetic . She did offer us some churros to go which we truly appreciated at least it was something . I can say we tried la carnita but sadly would most likely not return.
Food is good. I have read reviews here of other people bringing up the issue with the price and portion size which is fair but for us personally we found the price point and the portions we got to be fair. The ceviche tostada I ordered was topped up with a whole bunch of tuna so it’s not like they tried to rip me off, and my wife enjoyed her carne asadas as well I actually enjoy the idea of having it priced 6-7 dollars a plate so it’s portioned size and it was just perfect.For me personally where the experience falls short is in the customer service, my waiter was professional and engaging for the most part my wife did tell me that when I was paying for the bill he was standing there beside me making a whole bunch of faces which I didn’t see and for what I don’t know but since I didn’t catch it I don’t care, the one Asian girl at the front could do with some lessons in hospitality and courtesy, she did not acknowledge us when we entered the restaurant and did not say anything when we were leaving as well.. makes me wonder why you have someone who is not very sociable and professional working at the very front greeting and seating customers.
The food here is excellent. The atmosphere is pretty vibrant and the service is great. The tacos here are incredibly delicious. My husband and I come here every year on our anniversary and many other times throughout the year! :)
We had a super rude waiter who gave us a lot of attitude for absolutely no reason. The service was complete trash. The Tacos were tiny, overpriced and mediocre at best. Won't recommend this to anyone tbh. The corn also had no chili powder?
Very nice location, super fast service. The tacos are okay. Our favourite was the shrimp tacos, Carne Asada was not the best I’ve had.Churros were good tho.
Went here for a girl’s night. We shared nachos and ordered assorted tacos. The nachos were a good size and was packed. I got the vegetarian “chorizo” taco. It’s on the spicy side and it tastes good! It’s a bit on the pricey side at $7 for a small soft taco.
Never been a big fan of Mexican food, but this one made me in love!Tacos and Nacho are delicious! Even though they are full seated , the food came fast!Definitely come back.
Great portions and spice! We loved the tortilla chips and dip. Ambience and service was great. The filling for each of the tacos were amazing and filled to the brim, so many different flavours to choose from. I would've liked the tortilla to be warmed up.
Love La Carnita! All locations of this restaurant have very delicious food. We were able to get a table on a busy Saturday with little wait time. The Mexican street corn appetizer is a must!
Love La Carnita. Never really crave Mexican food, but I am always down for La Carnita! I am a huge fan of their mushroom and sweet potato tacos. I usually don’t get vegetarian meals, but the mushroom and sweet potato are worth it!
