Stay Away! The positive reviews are applicable to the previous owner's great food.Used to be our favourite spot for Greek food. The owner has changed unfortunately and the new owner has ruined the restaurant as they have no clue about Greek food. They have turned it into a "Halal" spot and removed the best items off the menu for that reason. I asked for a Spanakopita and the people working there said: what? I tried explaining that it's phyllo pastry with spinach and feta, they offered me pita bread and sauce. Nobody knew what spanakopita was. The prices have gone up, quality and portions down. Too bad.
We went because of the high rating…boy were we disappointed. I said before we ordered my son was allergic to soy. She said they don’t use soy. Well, he had a reaction to soy.The portions are small, especially for the price. When we ordered I had asked for a coke and my husband a water. Then after we paid she said we didn’t order a coke and water. She didn’t give a receipt, so I asked to see it, on the receipt it said we had paid for water(but not the coke). Not bad customer service necessarily, just careless. The final straw was when I needed to use the bathroom. DISGUSTING. I went in and then turned and left. How this place is open let alone highly rated is beyond me. Never ever again. $68 and extremely disappointed
Food was salty particularly the rice and chicken (Dinner #2). The salty chicken went well with the wrap but not the rice as the rice was salty too. Chest felt like I was eating table salt from the rice and chickenWrap was good, portions were goodOther Alexandros locations are better
Usually I head over to Astoria just down the street but decided to try this place since I've heard so much good things. The chicken souvlaki was actually pretty good! I actually thought their tzatziki sauce was on par with Astoria. Also the prices are not too bad here. Only issue I have is that they should put more potatoes in the souvlaki dinner, I like my souvlaki dinner with a good balance of rice, potatoes and salad. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely stop by again when passing through the area.
Great little spot serving gyros with a private parking for ease of access. They've got chicken as well as lamb and meat as protein options. They serve wraps and plates with minimal desserts.
It was ok. I asked for the chicken poutine but instead of gravy i asked for tzatziki. They gave it to me without… so just a tiny bit of chicken and dry fries. I had to go back for the tzatziki and they seemed surprised i was asking despite recalling the discussion. I was asked why i didn’t ask again after to make sure they did it right didn’t realize i had to monitor after clarifying and agreeeing on my order. Also out of hot sauce. How is a Greek place out of hot sauce? Not enough chicken to determine if it was good. Overall dry and flavourless.
Our experience here was absolutely shocking! Tried this place because my husband was dying to try it (due to the great reviews). When we arrived, something had happened with the order before us, which caused the lady and guy behind the counter to start yelling at each other (only after we had ordered, paid, tipped, and opted to dine-in). While making our order, they proceeded to yell at each other, louder and louder...I finally got up and told them that this was our first experience here and that "this" is what they were subjecting us to. They stopped and the guy stormed out "I'm leaving". They lady finished making our food (2 beef gyros combos with fries). When we opened our wraps, both were chicken and one fry was fresh and one was completely cold -both were unsalted. The lady remade our food, when I told her that the gyros were wrong, but the fighting continued as the guy walked back and forth from the kitchen. I want my $37 back and an apology for this horrible and uncomfortable experience. I would never go back here.
Pretty average greek food and really over priced . Jimmy the Greek .. mall food gives more food and flavour and also portion!!
The only reason I went out of my way to come here is because of the really good rating. The wrap was not good. I’ve honestly made better at home. And definitely not worth $9. I don’t even think a child would get full from one of these, maybe a very small child like under 40lbs.And they don’t wear masks. I don’t think you should go here.
Great food. I’ve ordered here many times and always happy with their food. Love their chicken souvlaki and gyro dinners. They’re usually consistent and everything is really good. There are times when they haven’t been consistent...less toppings on salad or seasoning on fries..small things like that but not a big deal.
