I think the establishment would benefit from more table staff. We had keep trying to flag someone down after 10 mins of being seated and not being able to order. Overall food was good. Rice portion is small. Will come back with hopes of more attentive service.
I LOVE KATSUYA. I just tried it this year and I definitely have missed out all throughout these years. Their original pork loin katsu sauce is to die for. My brother’s first time and he loved the curry pork loin katsu as well. Something I have to get every time I am here is the Crab and Cheese Croquette. It is so good! Overall such a good experience with servers, very attentive and welcoming. This place gets super busy as well so just keep in mind during high peak times! My tummy is always happy after eating here. ?
? Ambiance is good and the place is clean? Their chicken and pork cutlet is sooo good! Crispy and tender.? Thier fries is also good.? Everything is served fresh.? The proportion of food is very generous and is worth the price!? Highly Recommend this place! ?
I must say the katsu here is probably the best that I have ever eaten. My favorites are the cheese katsu and the crab meat croquette. However, the process is very inefficient, they keep accepting new orders despite having a huge backlog. If you order takeouts during the weekend, pick up at least one hour later to avoid waiting (even though they'll tell you it'll only take half an hour). If you are short on time or are very hungry, I would recommend to look for some other restaurants.
The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but when you walk in you are greeted to one of the best ambient Japanese restaurants. The restaurant is intimate and home to some of the most authentic and delicious Japanese food you can have in Mississauga, the portions are great and the chicken Karaage is absolutely delectable and crunchy. Highly recommend you try this place if you are at all a fan of Japanese cuisine and to bring cash for a discount!
Went during their 30% off on Japanese Katsu (take-out & cash only) Relay event. We ordered Crabmeat Croquettes and 1lb Karaage as well. Overall, the food was really good and everything was very crispy. I usually go to Katsuya when I'm craving some Katsu but order Honeycomb (shown in a previous order) or Original.Only a 4* this time because I was hoping the event would apply to Dine-In and apply to more than just Japanese Katsu (Worcestershire sauce mix) options.
Always delicious and have some fun memories of this location. (Eating outside at night because COVID caused no-dine in)I finally went in for Dine-In and was not disappointed! We had a trainee as the server and they were amazing! Asked for clarification, and was so kind.As for the food, it never disappoints! My personal favourite is the Garlic Chili Katsu with Chicken! My friends say the carbonara is also delicious!
They have good ambiance and are very quick with their serving. I especially liked there fries with honey butter powder, will definitely try it out again. They did serve me an amazing curry katsu. Simply loved the food and experience.
Their katsu was so delicious! It was nice and juicy inside but still crispy on the outside. They were also quite huge. We ordered one to split and we were full. Would definitely go back!
Good service, great portion, you can ask for more soup and rice! And very reasonable price. And actually tastes pretty good.
