My wife and I had the most amazing ramen from this place! We've tried Kenzo, Kinton and this place. We both agree that hands down this place has the best food. The soup isn't as oily as Kinton which I really loved, the flavour and seasoning is absolutely incredible, the noodles are so fresh and perfectly cooked. I was genuinely blown away and so sad to see they don't have any other locations as we live in Hamilton. I'm going to have to take a star off Kinton and Kenzo to adjust for how much better Kamen is!
After a long, long time - I can actually say, that I think I've found one of THE best Ramen place in GTA. It could very well turn out to be my go-to spot from hereon out. We were super hungry, so we decided to go for the ramen main course straight away, rather than wasting time on the appetizers.Volcano Chashu - (By default is Lv 2) the server suggested adding Level 1 to the default will be more than enough. But I went a step higher and added 1.5 instead.- Super tasty broth- Abundance of well cooked, tasty pork- Perfect half boiled egg- Tasty in-house noodles- Corn + other veggiesSpicy Miso Ramen - Spice Level 2Extremely tasty - my wife found this to be ample spicy, and great tasting at the same time. It's very rare to have both these things working together.- Tasty broth- Could have had 1 or 2 more pieces of pork- Mushrooms were tasty and freshParking -There is free parking in the plaza where the restaurant is situated.Wait time - on weekdayI didn't expect to wait for 30 minutes to be seated on a Tuesday evening time frame. Thankfully they have a token system. Make sure you signup for the wait list as soon as you arrive.
Delicious ramen! This place gets busy! We were there at 9:15pm and it was packed! Last call for the kitchen is at 9:45pm.
This place is a gem! The food is great! Reasonably priced and good portions too.The place is clean, staff are all so nice and welcoming. The place is not that big so, expect wait times more than 30mins.Parking is a bit challenging too, since it’s a busy plaza.Overall experience is definitely 5 stars! We will surely come back.
so this became one of my favourite ramen spots in town for the volcano tori.let me just begin by saying without the roasted tori i don't think the whole dish would be the same. the chicken upped the game. the delicate balance of wet and dry between the noodles and broth and the chicken was just delightful.i got it in mild spice and regretted it lol. i was just a scaredy cat and wanted to make sure i didn't get it too spicy. turns out it wasn't spicy enough. but at the same time my sensitive stomach probably would've been upset if i had a spicier broth. although it wasn't too spicy for my liking, it still had a lot of heat and might be upsetting for some sensitive stomachs.the broth was thick and rich. it wasn't creamy but it was thick and rich. lots of seasoning but wasn't overwhelming at all.the noodles were also thick and perfect. you can get it made with extra noodles and i did. i came out so full. i think i would've been okay with just regular size noodles. if you're a ramen fan though i recommend the extra noodles because the noodles taste so fresh!i also got a side karaage and it was fresh and crispy. i'd come back for the karaage lol
This place used to be good... I ordered a Miso ramen with egg. They charge you 1$ for egg and you get only half? Where's the other half? U get 2-3 small peices of beef.. The portion has been less and less over 2 year span (2020). In the pic you can see the bowl is half empty? Haven't t touched it just poured the broth. Used to be full bowl and 4 peices of beef. Last but not least the price you are over paying for the portion you get. Other places are charging less and you get more? The quality and taste is the same. They also don't pick up the phone, you walk in and they have young guys just chilling...
Quick efficient service. They’re quite busy so they won’t check up on you often but it’s not hard to catch their attention if you need anything. Flavourful and delicious
Tldr: it was amazing, if you're thinking of going. Stop thinking and just go.Food: really tasty and each broth has its own distinct flavor, as expected due to their base being different. The broth is rich and the various elements in the ramen go well with it. The noodles are well done and a good texture.Service: it gets really packed so be prepared to wait. We got lucky and had no one infront of us and it still took 10 mins to get a table. So prepare to wait, or put your name on the list and come back when you get a text from their reservation system. They get really busy b/w take out and in house dining so you may need to call them when you need help.Price: worth for the portion.
If you love Ramen, are vegetarian, and in Mississauga, you MUST VISIT this restaurant. They have many vegetarian options and everything is delicious. The quantity is perfect and they also offer multiple spice levels, catering to your taste buds!
Kamen Ramen is a good spot in Mississauga. Service is excellent, interior is modern, covid precautions well equipped. For what it is the food is decent but its not the kind of ramen experience you would get at a Japanese spot.Their take on spicier ramen offerings is interesting. It's not the best ramen I have had in the Toronto/GTA. I think the focus on spicier ramen takes away from the broth. You don't get a deep rich flavour as you would do for a typical tonkatsu broth. And their seafood ramen just tastes a lot like jjampong (Spicy Korean Seafood Noodle Soup). I may go back since there are not a lot of options but overall the experience was good. The food was ok.
