Update May 2022: as usual the food catering with Ishtar Resturant is awesome. I have ordered half meat and half chicken with rice (we call it Goozi or Mozat for meat). Thank you to the lady who work in this family business (I don’t recall her name).The best food I have ever eat in Canada, it taste like mam home made cook,, we ordered catering three chicken with rice ( chicken mahshi) incredibly delicious! The price is affordable and the quantity is enough for party and family gathering, will definitely recommend to anyone.

I don’t usually review a restaurant’s unless i had a very good experience or very bad experience not in the middle .... i tried the Hanoot burger it’s their signature with a little bit of hot sauce its so good and worth trying and hit it if you want to try something different than ordinary burgers
We had family gathering dinner and my friend recommended Ishtar to me so I ordered the lamb shoulder with rice….it was so delicious why I didn’t know you before,,,,, the lamb was so tender and well cooked with rice that has very tasty spices covered with nutsAnd the lady was so nice she gave us eggplant dish to try it (I don’t know the name ) and definitely I’m going to order it next timeThanks for your service Ishtar you made me and my guest very happy……..
Hands down the BEST IRAQI KABAB I've had , you can order ahead and then go in for pick up, they also deliver. Many selections of Iraqi cuisine like dolma, kabab, ruz w maraq, kelecha and many more. Ishtar food never disappoint. It is an authentic middle eastern (Iraqi) food that tastes excellent. I admire the people who run this business, they are so friendly.
