Came into this resteraunt right at opening time 12pm.Entered and placed my order, customer service wasn't the most Friendliest, washroom was filthy, some of the tables in the resteraunt weren't even wiped, but with the virus and everything going on 99% resteraunts always have night cleaners come in and clean and sanitize the property, it looks like galito's at the Mavis and central Pkwy location has 0 interests in keeping the property clean, from washrooms and countertops and tables to seat the guests are mostly not wiped down. For health and safety purposes, stay as far as possible from this location. I hope and highly suggest the owner of the galito's property coaches the employees and hires night cleaners to keep the property and clean and sanitized, because this is unacceptable during the pandemic.Update : spent almost $33 on the combata platter and the portion was just sad.
Waffle O is what I am reviewing, which is located in the same building as Galito’s.The banana Boat is not bad.
Went into buy a family meal. I asked if there was any possibility to change the garlic bread to anything else at all. I was told no. Ordered just one chicken to go instead, mild. Got home and found the chicken super spicy and smelling so off. I think they had to cook the expired chicken and needed to mask the smell with the extra hot seasoning! No one could it at all. $25 for a chicken for the garbage. Very disappointed. Next time I will stick to Marios. Their chicken is always fresh.
I love Galito's! I defs like it more than Nando's! Amazing grilled chicken and the fries are out of this world! So tasty and a must have!!!! Can't wait to go back! They also have some awesome desserts that I wanna try next time.
Make no mistake if you want the best dessert menu look no further!!! The waffle ice cream treats are hands down the tastiest treats to treat yourself with, as my expression says it all. During my visit i ended up having 3 waffle ice creams with no shame and would do so again. The chicken is phenomenal as well (chicken strips on rice is always the flex). IT’S WHAT IT IS ??
Dined with my family here and we all had a great experience. Service was good, Chicken with the peri peri was amazing and so was the fries and rice. Kids also loved that they got to eat yummy waffles and ice cream as well. Overall a good experience and will visit again!
I had a very pleasant experience during my visit to this branch. The staff was exceptionally good. I would say Galito's is similar to Nando's but more budget-friendly and less crowded.We tried the Family Platter - which contains a whole chicken, two chicken skewers, two chicken wings, two large sides (roasted potatoes and rice) and garlic sticks. Everything was delicious. I asked for the mild, and it was (pleasantly) spicier than I thought. The portions were filling but not too big. We ate the platter (serves 4) amongst 3 people and still had a box full of leftovers.I may have given just the food 4 or 4,5 stars; however, the customer service and the cleanliness of the location made me enjoy the experience even more. I'll definitely be going again.
Galito's is a good option in Portuguese style food. They have lot of variety, however marination needs more time to penetrate inside. Their chicken was dry from inside.. it wasn't like this before. I tried it several times and found very good though.. this time experience was bit different. Keep up the good work and let chicken more time for deep marination..
The food was amazing as always and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Definitely worth coming with family and friends.Really enjoyed the waffle from waffle O!
Been coming here with my family for quite some time and we’re never disappointed. Food and service is exceptional. Galitos is always our go to place to eat because of the great serving size and reasonable pricing.
