The food flavour was average. Service was terrible. We had to ask our sever for water and utensils while our food got cold. Very unfriendly and inattentive staff. But what really put me off was the lack of cleanliness in this establishment. Everything needed a good cleaning. One of the staff was cleaning off tables and throwing the scraps onto the chairs and floor. It was also disturbing to have someone wearing gloves serving food, giving utensils then cleaning all with the same gloves. What's the point? If these inefficiencies are in plain site for us all to see, what does the kitchen where our food is prepared look like. I think a visit from the health inspector might be a good idea. Sorry Eddie, your staff needs to do better.
Good flavors but needs improvement in service with house full.I got chicken soup instead of vegetable soup ordered. Not pleased with colored noodles, original is always better. It would be nice if the staff asks the customers for any allergy in general and helps with order.
Went in today for Lunch special which comes in with soup, boiled white rice and a spring roll for $10.99. Food was good and the service was really quick. Will definitely go back. Just a quick FYI drink is not included in the special.
Good food and portion size. Would recommend others for decent Hakka here.
The waitress was incredibly rude. We waited for our order for 30+mins and tables that were seated after us got their orders sooner. When we asked, they said they go by first come first serve basis and didn’t even check on the status of our order. Ended up leaving and going to Summit Garden instead where service and food was 10/10.
We went here to get lunch and it was a very good experience! The food was very fresh when they brought it out to us, which was relatively fast after we ordered. The seating area is kinda small but the ambience is very nice. I will recommend the General Tao chicken (the sizzler) was definitely the highlight dish of the experience!
Sorry, not going to support a business that serves me trash and expects me to happily pay for it and eat it. I asked for extra chutney and they had to go back to the kitchen and grab some.. the new one fresh vibrant green, but the old one that came with my meal was basically fished out of the trash before it went out. Have some decency and teach your staff to raise their standards and get off their phones clean the place, stock the supplies stored in the dining area at least. Customers are eating your garbage. The rest of the food was disgusting overcooked slop. Also, they have a bar stacked with alcohol and cater questionably "halal" meats to Muslims. Completely disrespectful. Just garbage people.
Eddie's Wok and Roll used to be the Hakka place in town, but now there's better places with tastier food and cheaper prices. We used to frequent this restaurant more often but it had been awhile since we came here. First of all, there was no one at the door to seat us. After waiting 5 mins (during which a server saw us standing at the door), I went to the counter towards the back of the restaurant where the takeout/pickup counter was. I told them I wanted to dine in and they led me back to the door where we had been waiting earlier. After checking our vaccine passports and ID, we were seated. There were only 2 other tables with people in them but the food took longer than it should have. The service was lukewarm; the servers were not friendly, spoke quietly, and never came to ask us if we needed anything. The food was okay. Their version of the lollipop chicken had no spice or taste. If was literally just deep fried chicken drumsticks. We also ordered the Hakka chowmein which our server told us was mild. They were indeed mild but there was no other taste to them. The chicken in it was rubbery and completely tasteless. We ordered 2 curries (general Tao's chicken and Karachi chicken) and all we got were 2 small bowls of rice that were nowhere close to how much rice 3 people would need to eat the quantity of curry. So stingy with the riceIt's safe to say Eddie's Wok and Roll is losing its charm. Skip it and head to Royal Jasmine instead.
Good food quality, obviously that is not unknown. But just this one instance I did not have a great experience when picking up food for take-out. My food was waiting on the pick-up desk but the worker at the counter waited 20-30 minutes until they realized that and gave me my food. Note that I also asked if it was my food previously and I was told my food is coming and they are still waiting.
Awesome food! Had their Chinese sweet corn soup, hot n sour soup, chicken lollipops with a unique green chutney, Manchurian chicken, Shanghai noodles, veg fried rice. Also ordered General Tao's chicken, chicken pakora which I would skip next time coz they were ok. But great service and all these years they have maintained their quality and taste. Kudos to the owner Eddie and his staff!
