To begin this was supposed to be a family dinner in port credit and we were truly disappointed by the service at this establishment. We waited an hour for food to be brought out. The shrimp Nd calamari was a very tiny portion compared to many other restaurants. When the main platter of meats came out we all felt the appearance of the meal was great but the chicken lacked flavor.Our server only touched base three times with us our entire meal unless we made an attempt to get their attention. Very poor service.Great atmosphere and vibe but sadly service didn't match.
Don't waste your time or money. There are dozens of places on the same block that want to serve you. The staff at Door Fifty Five obviously don't. We were completely ignored when we walked in. We had to ask for menus twice. They couldn't decide who was supposed to take our order. After we finally placed our order we waited 30 minutes. When our food still didn't come we walked out. We never found out whether the food was any good or not. It used to be when we were semi regulars. We won't be going back to find out. Neither should you.
Used to be good, now - don't go unless you are young and beautiful and want to drink. Service was horrendous! The chef does not know how to manage the kitchen. The manager was not managing! The drink menu is impressive, especially if you like scotch and whiskey. When we sat down we were served tap water, no ice and lukewarm. For a drinking establishment - seriously! If I ordered a scotch and water, you would take the scotch and just put it under the tap? Took a long time to order drinks and food (young pretty ladies not far from us were served right away). Food arrived stone cold. They took my husband's back to warm up, mine was tolerable due to sauce that was put on top. By this time we were there for 90 minutes so we just took the food home, mood was gone. No apologies from the manager, no discount to make up for this - we will stick to our usual haunts and avoid this place.
Went last night, great atmosphere but I was unfortunate to have almost lost my jacket towards the end of the night (my car keys were in there). Luckily, the bar tender Bryan had a great eye and caught that my keys fell out of pocket when someone moved my jacket and Pete the bouncer was really helpful and patient in helping me look for the keys along the floor and jacket. 10/10 would recommend the spot.
I came to Door FiftyFive to have a few drinks with my friends for my birthday and I’ve never been disrespected in the way that the manager disrespected us tonight. She was the blond lady with a sparkly mask, and although the group of us (10+) wanted to have a good time, we ended up spending our money at Nomads and The Port House instead of Door FiftyFive.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!This women was the worst person I have ever dealt with in the hospitality industry. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I have never met a woman who was as disrespectful and entitled as the manager at Door FiftyFive. I wish I got her name, because she was the rudest and most belligerent person I have ever met.I WILL NEVER BE BACK.If you value your respect, please do not come to Door FiftyFive. There are plenty of other businesses that are worth your money, but this is not one of them.

Went for dinner Saturday, the atmosphere is nice and the vibe was great! They had a live DJ who was really good and we had a great time, I was definitely not expecting that vibe! I would give atmosphere and live DJ 5 stars. Food was so so we had the shareable platter not bad price- 3 stars for the food. Would definitely go back for drinks and the live dj set.
One of the main reasons port credit is back. This is a staple on the strip if you like to bar hop. Drinks are top notch (pricey) but worth it since the specialty drinks do take some effort but the show is wicked. Haven't been since the pandemic but miss it and hope to go again soon (saw some old pictures of me there and felt a review was warranted). #supportlocal
Came here for a couple of drinks and was not disappointed.The place took the spacing of tables seriously for covid restrictions and had a number of reservations but they tried to seat us still. We ended up sitting at the bar which we didn’t mind, we got our drinks a lot quicker that way anyways!The staff were all super friendly and the fries I ordered were a lot bigger than I expected. The way it was presented I thought they had stuffed half of the bucket with paper to make it look full but no, it was full of fries. And they were delicious. A mix of regular and sweet potato fries too. Def would order again and would come back too.
