If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I used to come here all the time for a chicken or veal sandwich but the quality and customer service has gone down the drain. The lady working at the front is the most unprofessional and rude person I’ve ever come across working in the food industry! I even heard her making all kinds of negative comments about me loudly with the staff lol…Especially when I was spending my money there weekly! Sandwich is super soggy and not worth what you pay. Save your money people! There are many authentic Italian sandwich spots that taste way better and treat you with respect.
Out of all the California Sandwich locations I’ve been to, this is the only one I strongly dislike.My veal was burnt and tough to chew. The flavour of the whole sandwich was off. In addition they are very stingy!! And will charge you for extra sauce.I won’t be going back here.
Buddy and I had veal, steak sandwiches and drinks. In dinning, fabulous dining and real good service. Both ladies pleasant and efficient. We definitely will return ?Thanks..
Food is good as I've been here many times. I just left for the last time. Came in and went tonorder at the register. The employee told me to wait to take a call. He took an order while I waited for 5min. Then finally attended to me to take my order. I was in a rush so asked if it would take long and was told 5 to 10 minutes. I ordered 3 sandwiches and a drink and paid my $50. As I am waiting, 3 other uber orders were filled, 3 other people that were there aleady got their food, 1 other person who ordered after me got their food, and then a guy walks in who ordered via phone and just pays grabs his stuff and leaves. This the guy who called and had me waiting infront of the register to put in his order. So I know something is wrong now and ask the employee where my 3 sandwiches are and he looks like he's never seen me and asks if it's a mobile order. I eventually got my order when i was the last one in the store. Been a long time customer, not anymore. Don't like my time wasted unnecessarily and they didnt think there was anything wrong. I don't think you should be in Food business. We ordered one veal sandwich and one chicken sandwich with cheese and onions but we got two oily tomato sauce sandwiches. There is no taste of anything else but a cheap tomato sauce. We couldn't finish half of each.In addition no one checked our vaccine proof although we told them we r dining in.
They have halal chicken and beef. I usually get the chicken with cheese and mushrooms. Its delicious! Period.Thank you for not being stingy with the chicken and sauce.Excellent customer service - everytime I've visited this location so far. Cleanliness is okay. Def. Recommend it!
Delicious sandwiches but they changed their original fries so wont be having those next time.
Normally i love their restaurants...not this one. Staff seems confused or disinterested...ordered sausage sandwich always good at queensway terrible here. Said no onions 3 times got lots of onions. Had to send sandwich back bun was completely soaked.
Since this place opened , I've been there once and never again. Stay away from this place. The sauce is watered down. The sandwich is much smaller than the other locations. Only thing the same size is the kaiser bun. Total rip off. They charge you an arm and a leg for extra sauce on the side. Go to the Dixie location or the one on Queensway and you will definitely see what I mean. I live 2 kms from the Heartland location and yet I travel 20 kms to get a proper California Sandwich. Disgrace for a franchise. Should keep their standards close to the others. I've eaten thousands of California Sandwiches. I know what I'm talking about .......And so do they !!!
Placed an order for pick up at lunch. Went in for pick up and waited 16 min in line to get my order. What is the point of calling in the order if they want to make you line to get your order with people who are just placing their order? On top of that when I got to the front line, cashier started bagging orders and calling out numbers for people waiting for their food. Not a place to go to when you only get a 30 min lunch break. Food was cold and sauce was minimal on the 7 sandwiches we had ordered.
