Absolutely delicious, everytime I walk by Brasas the smell is amazing. I've eaten here 3 times and the staff is always super friendly and super quick. The potatoes are some of the best I've ever eaten. The portion size is amazing, the half chicken dinners are a great value and the taste is phenomenal. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try!
Edit: Owner explained the charge below. I guess I just got lucky in the past year with no upcharge. Anyways food is good, communication could be better, stars changed.Randomly added "open food" charge of $1 to my bill didn't find out until I got home.I order a half chicken dinner weekly and never got this charge. Just for context I only got the half chicken dinner today aswell no extras. Can the manager/owner explain why I got charged this randomly? I'll be happy to change my review once I get an explanation.
Mouth watering just thinking about it.Do you want the best Portuguese food in Mississauga? Brasas is where you go. I came here Thursday March 17, 2022. My first time ordering a larger order, I usually just get half chicken dinner for myself but I was going to take it home for everyone (8 people) to enjoy. I end up ordering the family pack 1 and 2. I got 3 full size chickens: 2 with hot sauce and 1 mild. It comes with large rice, potatoes and salad + medium rice, potatoes, and salad. Was a big order, had some left over for the next day which I didn’t mind. Now that I know the sizes for large, medium, etc. I will be calling ahead to order because the line up is out the door. It is busy. Everyone knows how good it is. Customer service was exceptional. I didn’t catch her name but the young lady at cash that was helping me was very nice, pretty and had beautiful eyes. I’d definitely go back for the chicken but wouldn’t mind seeing her again. Anyways, great value, great food, great customer service. No dine in seating. They have a large menu. Can’t wait to go back and try the other food. Loved it.
For anyone who is Portuguese, or has Portuguese friends or family, this place will remind you of any holiday or family gathering! From the smell of the food to the quantity, everything about this place is very homey and enjoyable. Brasas always has amazing food and customer service; I never have any complaints!
Their chicken is amazing. It’s halal too. You can taste the charcoal grill. It’s always moist and never dry. Consistently.Sides are great. Potatoes, roasted veggies and their fries are excellent. Love their Cole slaw.It’s great value and you won’t regret going here, for sure.Staff are also super friendly and take pride in the food they sell. It’s the complete package.
Co-worker recommended this place and I thought hey I like chicken and rice and potatoes so why not. Was a cold night and a 15 minute wait in the lineup. No big deal. As soon as you get it in you have absolutely no idea where to go. People just standing around. No greeting or acknowledgement from anyone. I figured it out by myself where I had to go and placed my order with some guy who then moved on to the person behind me. Very process-line in a factory like. No explanation of what to do or where to wait. So I stood around awkwardly until it looked like my order was ready and I paid. Almost missed it if I hadn’t been paying attention. Overpriced, chicken was dry. Why the hype? I’ve had better lol
This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Me and my friends call the potatoes little 'potato-timbits' and they taste divine.I did read prior complaints about the chicken being dry, and it is a bit dry but that's Portuguese chicken for ya and I personally was a huge fan, even more so with the sauce.There was thought put into every single ingredient/detail, even the rice paired well with the overall taste and presentation, despite being take-out.Can't miss this spot.
Long line as usual and it's New Year's Eve. It didn't take long though to be served. Chicken is amazing! Very delicious, well cooked and juicy. Their sauce is still the best in town. Potatoes are well seasoned but I do like dipping it in their sauce.I do hope you'll start having delivery service this 2022 too.
This was my favorite place when I used to live in Mississauga. I was one of their first customers and saw the business explode. Now I live in BC and every now and then, I dream about your chicken and the amazing baby potatoes. But the star was always your INCREDIBLE hot sauce which I would totally buy jars of endlessly if you sold online. Please sell them online PLEASE.
