Favourite place for authentic Mexican food! I especially love the horchata here. It has a kind, welcoming energy and a great patio for a hot summer day. I swear when I sat outside last time, I heard so many passers by just pointing at the place being like “BORDER MX…we gotta eat here”—so you know it def keeps the locals interested too!?
Was here with my girlfriend. A lot of potential but I was very disappointed.The food was priced a bit high but it was enjoyable. What I didn't like was the service. Don't know if there was miscommunication with the staff but we felt ignored the entire night. No one attempted to check with us, take our orders, and serve us. We had to try really hard to get a server's attention just to put an order in. Multiple times, we asked for water which didn't come until the end when we finished our food. We had to ask for napkins and utensils because we did not receive any, in which, a server only brought out one for myself and not my girlfriend. I will say though, the gentleman that ended up serving us was very nice (even though he was never assigned to our table)What makes it the most perplexing, is the fact that everyone around us got attended to. We noticed other customers were served before us even though they were seated after us. They had a server who continuously checked on them and provided water, plates, utensils, etc. while we felt invisible. It seemed like they were making an effort to ignore us and avoid eye contact.Overall, our experience would've been better if the service wasn't almost non-existent.
It was an awful experience and expensive for what they served, I felt like it was food from a cafeteria. I would not recommend this place at all. Waste of money they should not call themselve "Mexican restaurant" that was not mexican at all, I ordered a pulled chicken it was so dry that I had to ask them for some sour cream.I should have taking a picture of what was on my plate, service was bad and not enough waitress. I would never go back there again.
I have never been to a better Mexican Place than this. I absolutely loved everything I ate in this restaurant. The customer service was so so sooooo good. I love this place. I ordered tamarind homemade drink, street corn which was an absolute delish, Veggie Tostadas, Enchiladas and Flautas. Absolutely best quality food. No comparison in whole GTA. Definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go and try the place, they make your dayy the besttttttttttttt with bestestt food and phenomenal customer service. Have never been so happy in my life after dining at a place before. Absolutely love it.

The nachos with chicken were so good. We liked the fact that they used bean paste instead of whole beans because it spreads more evenly on the nachos. We wish there were more jalapeños to add a bit more heat. The birria tacos were to die for. Our expectations were met and we will definitely go back here again. We also ordered the birria ramen which was packed with flavours from the birria broth. One comment my partner and I made was that we both wished it the hot sauce was a lot spicier, but overall, it was a great experience - great food and great service.

This is a hidden gem in Streetsville will so much charm, and hospitality. The decor is simple and not flashy, but the food and service are stellar. Everything is fresh, very authentic Mexican fare, and made with love. Yes it might take a bit of time for the food- but this isn’t Taco Bell it’s MADE TO ORDER FOOD. It takes time to make, and the flavour is amazing. My favorite is the Evil Shrimp, and the Volcan which is nice to share with someone. Also- they have fish tacos that are simply the best ever. Nothing frozen- just fresh. We love the servers who are always running around making people happy. Especially with the pandemic that has effected small businesses they are trying very hard to make it a good experience. Just pack some patience and kindness, and sit back and enjoy the BEST Mexican food in Streetsville.

Border MX was a refreshing authentic experience! The ambience of the restaurant brought back fond memories of Mexico. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the food was AMAZING! Everything was fresh to order and cooked perfectly. This spot has been added to my personal favourites and I will definitely be revisiting regularly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a true gem
