Yesterday after a long flight, I was instransit at YYZ airport. I was tired, hungry and looking for some comfort food. I came across this Bento Sushi. This is first time ever that I order bento at this chain store. After paying $18.99+Tax=$20.33 for Chicken Bento Box. Not only the price was expensive, I was so disappointed at the horrible quality of the food. The chicken was not grilled and has no taste. The sauce was bland. The rice underneath the chicken was mushy! It was almost like congee to me!The cucumber in the California Roll was frozen! The sushi rice was hard and cold!Move on the the geoza, my last hope that how wrongly can this be. To my surprise, it was bad! The skin was overly done, mushy as well. I am not sure if the geoza was steam/boiled for too long? Or was it reheated after being cooked so the texture and the taste was all gone. Now the veggie, at least it was fresh, but no taste.I was rush to catch another flight. I have no time to let the staff know how horrible the food was.For a tired hugry traveller longing for some comfort food. And hoping a chain store would at least offer some quality food. I was so disappointed and upset that it was not standing up for it's brand.I know it's hard to run a business at the airport. I know pandemic effects all business. I know the price at the airport is more expensive than everywhere else. I wasn't expecting something delish at the airport. But the taste and the quality was horrible like this one was UNACCEPTABLE!I wished I had gone to the Thai Express on the other end of domestic departure.

Great food, super expensive.

$17 after tax for the salmon donburi bowl (no drink). Pretty sad TBH, just cabbage and a bit of shredded carrots on rice and overcooked fish. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend.

The worst Japanese style food I have ever experienced

Not good. I know it's just an airport, but this is really gas-station-grade sushi. I guess it's in an airport, yet...It's edible. It's not more than food.

Airport prices and worse than average fast food offerings. The "Grilled" Chicken Donburi Bowl came with chicken pieces that come out of a slurry liquid from one of the pots on the counter. It tastes like canned chicken. They also overcharged us and then still gave us the wrong change when we mentioned the overage. Conveniently both receipt printers were out of service. Also, the air conditioner leaks over the counter. Avoid if you can as there are better options.UPDATE: The Bento Sushi head office reached out and stated they would look into my concerns above. The next time I'm in Pearson I will see if changes have been made.

I would not go here again. I was really craving some Asian food so I came here. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, I ordered the donburi bowl and a bottle of pop, came to $20. The food was very bland and the chicken was not grilled. Food is overpriced especially being a fast food restaurant and very bland.

Decent airport sushi. Nothing special, but was fresh and reasonably priced.

Haven’t been to Toronto airport since i left 18ish years ago.Upon arriving, was craving some sushi and stumbled across bento sushi... the two ladies at front desk were not welcoming at all. Both gloomy and lack of facial expression. Despite that, i decided to eat in.... for the price i think other places deserve your business.Stay away.
