I have been a very fond of Baskin Robins since last 25 years. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Baskin Robins has been very disappointing. Today, I visited at Meadowvale Town Center and went with my wife to Baskin Robins. The ice cream was almost melting. The girl took full amount of 2 scoops but;.... firstly she was so reluctant to fill the scoops. I noticed another young girl also had 2 scoops in her cone and the cone was almost 1/3 empty. 2ndly I asked for the nuts and she said it will cost 50 cents extra. No problem go ahead. She wanted to put peanuts and I asked the almonds. WoW, now that will cost extra 50 cents that she did not told me earlier. I compromised with peanuts but it seemed that she just wanted to take the money and not give the nuts. I could hardly see the peanuts on the topping. I regret and from now on will never ever visit Baskin Robins where I will see the sales girls from the Indian Sub-continent. (my apology being stereo type)
Last week Sunday visited this place and ordered a milkshake.. I was served by this women, south Asian probably.. First of all she didn't use a scooper instead used a large serving spoon to scoop the ice cream, first of it's kind , I have been to BR in 4 different countries and I haven't seen this... But that's my least concern, looks like she accidentally dropped a scoop of ice-cream on the kitchen counter top, what she did next baffled my wife(since I was busy looking the ice cream flavors) she simply scooped it into the blender and gave me a milkshake, probably that has a tint of clorox, dust and some germs .. Unfortunately my wife told this only after sometime, otherwise would have questioned her.. Finally the milk shake was a bit diluted too.. Watch out !!!
I have always ordered from here especially every 31st of the month for their 31% off ice cream pints promo. I bought an ice cream cake (very berry strawberry flavour) for my husband and when I took a bite I saw this hanging out. It’s embedded inside because I had to pull them out. I have a video but I can’t seem to post it here for some reason and it’s very disappointing and very disgusting since I don’t know what it is or where it came from. Only reason I still have 2 stars is because I still like BR and the flavour is still pretty good, but I had to check my cake every time I took a slice since this was the second time it’s happened. So sad.
Pathetic service .. takes long time to serve , employees not trained .. don't follow queues .. very very bad service!
They take the time to help you out especially when looking for a cake for a celebration. It's a great place to bring children.
Excellent Ice Cream shop, great flavours and nice staff.Even have No sugar added ice cream, few flavours, but tasty.Must stop for ice cream lovers.
Why? The store a/c on this most hot and humid August 25/21 day was down and yet the icecream, hardly frozen as expected, was being sold at regular price. $4.00 each tiny tub which melted right away and was discarded by the 2 and 3 yr olds almost untouched, did not justify for a pleasant buying experience or consumer satisfaction. A 1-star may be unfairly harsh.
Never going back here!!! Staff did not apply my coupon of by one get one 50% on "Watermelon Swirl Sorbet" resulting in an additional $4 for my ice cream. On top of that the sorbet was incredibly sour and did not taste like watermelon whatsoever. It's like Baskin Robbins never had food testers try it.
Wouldn't recommend based solely on the customer experience. Came in on July 5th at 9 pm was rudely served by a girl in glasses who was rushing me when there wasn't anyone else in line. I was talking to my partner about the flavour I wanted and she interupts asking "WHAT SIZE"? She was very short with me and it was clear she didn't want to be there, which isn't the customer's fault. I've been going here for 10 years and it's sad that the staff is so miserable. I'd rather spend more elsewhere and get a better experience.
