My family's Go-To Fish n Chips place! I always recommend Applewood. They are family operated and you can tell by the genuine smiles and service through the years. I love the texture of the batter and freshness of the fish, as well as the delicious coleslaw! I've moved around the GTA but will always make the drive to go here when I'm craving FnC.
Excellent food. Had the haddock and chips. Was excellent! The creamy coleslaw is perfect. Run by a really friendly family. Very clean. I dined inside. Will be back for sure. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but certainly a hidden gem.
First (and probably last) time my wife and I went here for dinner. We're fish and chips lovers for over 50 years, and have eaten them in literally hundreds of places over the years.We each had their halibut and chips platter, with a side of home-made cole slaw.The halibut was nicely cooked and tasty, although the batter was somewhat on the oily side and not as crisp as it might have been. Almost as if the oil was not quite hot enough. The cole slaw was tasty, but the amount was quite small.We had asked for the chips to be cooked extra well. They came somewhat soft and soggy. Tasted as if they were made with frozen fries and (again) cooked in oil that wasn't quite hot enough.On the positive side, the young man who served us was very friendly, helpful, cheerful and fast! We have him a 20% tip, not because the food was that good, but because he earned it ?.All in all, a 'just ol' meal, served by a smiling, pleasant, quick and helpful young man.
The best fish and chips in Mississauga have loved to going there with my beloved husband and have missed going there since he passed went there today and they remembered me and they also gave me a big hug great meal loved it all
My favourite fish and chips place, hands down… we travel from north York to come and eat here. And we always feel Welcome and leave happy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place is a hidden gem and the food is delicious. However, my report concerns the staff especially the lovely woman ( she may be the owner I am not sure) whom has shown nothing but kindness to me on the occasions I have been in to order. My husband has been hospitalized for some time now. She remembers this and always has a kind word and a hug to ease the day for me. It may not seem like much to some but that small act of compassion just makes my day. Thank you.

Awesome fish and chips, the family special is a really good deal. The staff are super friendly. I just wish they took debit/credit... saves me a trip to the bank if I don't have much cash on me.

This place has been on my to go list for quite awhile. The other day it was actually on the way, and we were like this has to be the time we are giving it a try.Since it was like between lunch and dinner so we ordered only a Premium Mild Halibut with fries and a large coleslaw to go.The fish is amazing! So so so good! But the fries were a little underwhelming probably because it’s takeout. Even a neighbour said it smells great when we were in an elevator.The only thing though is that the price is on the higher side, but I can understand you pay for what you get. The fish is really good! Coleslaw was great too.Also love the art pieces in the store. So beautiful.
