The Turkey pieces were basically all bone no meat, the meat tasted old like it was sitting in the fridge, the skin of the turkey was soggy and chewy like it had been fried in cold oil and had been sitting out and reheated, and the shrimp pieces in the rice were over cooked. The portion was extremely small for the price and the rice wasn't my preference either. Overall I couldn't eat more than 3 bites and felt as though I had wasted 19 dollars on a small container of food that went to waste aswell.

The Jollof and Amala were a delight. My experience for Dine-in and bulk ordering was a good one. Small cute restaurant along Huntario rd. The food was well packaged and neatly done. If you miss a taste of home or just want to enjoy the African experience (Nigeria especially), you should visit.

I had come here with my girlfriend and this was our first time trying Nigerian food. The owner was very friendly and all the staff were nice and accommodating. It was a very welcoming experience

This was one of the worst meals ive had. I ordered ahead on the phone and the girl on the phone was not paying attention to the conversation at all and was talking to someone else at the same time and i was not sure half the time if she was even talking to me or someone else. I brushed it off and when i walked in and told them what i ordered they had no idea and kept asking other employees if they took a phone order. Finally after about 5 minutes of them looking for my order i finally get and it was the worst tasting food I’ve had in long time. The jollof rice was burnt and had an awful smell before i even took it out of the bag. The chicken was like rubber and inedible. Tried two bites and had to throw it away because of how awful it was. We also tried the agusi soup and pounded yam. The pounded yam wasn’t bad but the egusi soup was dry and had an awful taste than when ive had it in the past. Overall i would NOT recommend this place and i’m very disappointed. I wish i took a picture of the food but it was so bad i just threw it out as soon as i could.

TLDR: Partially incorrect order, BURNT food, bad smell, waste of money. After reading through all the positive reviews, I was really looking forward to trying Ameen's Kitchen, but it was a huge disappointment.First, we ordered the pounded yam with Egusi and fried turkey. Unfortunately, we received beef instead of turkey, but the egusi itself was okay, although, a bit on the drier side. The biggest disappointment, however, was the jollof. We love jollof and were excited to have found a local spot for it, but it was disgusting and burnt. As soon as we got home and opened the container, the kitchen absolutely reeked of burnt food, and the smell still isn't completely gone over a day later. With how bad it smelled, I just don't understand how any restaurant could let that leave their kitchen in good faith. We couldn't even stomach a bite because of how badly burnt it was, and how strong the smell was.Considering that we paid almost $50 for this meal, it feels like a total waste of money knowing that half of it was completely inedible, while there were mistakes made in the other (edible) half. It seems that Ameen's Kitchen is too focused on providing good food/service to their regular catering orders, while smaller walk-in orders receive burnt scraps from the bottom of the pot.Definitely won't be returning here, and would never recommend this spot to anyone.

Terrible!!! Burnt up food. Pics dont lie folks. Have a look. My whole house smelt like burnt food -- lingering! Terrible experience. Never again. Ordered from Skip the Dishes They only gave me half my money back. I asked for a full refund considering I provided pics and didnt eat this terrible food which was supposed to be Nigerian Jolllof. Shame on Skip for treating customers this way. III be dealing with either Uber eats or Doordash going forward. I know they charge more for delivery but Skip was flat our wrong for not giving me back all my money on this dish from hell. Folks stay clear of Ameens Kitchen. LOOK AT MY PICS!!!!. I took one fork full of rice and I can still feel the burnt flavor as I type in my chest. Stay clear!!!!!

Tasty meals. Feels like you are back in Nigeria. The Smokey Jollof rice is out of this world! They deliver to your doorstep at affordable rates. I am a super-pleased new customer.

Best Nigerian Kitchen in Ontario. Great meals and excellent customer service. Good location

Awesome meal always. They never disappoint.

I was in the area and noticed the restaurant. I was excited because I was longing for some jollof rice. When I entered, I smelled something burning. I continued to the counter to ask what was available and mentioned it smells like some thing is burning. The staff at the counter said nothing was burning and advised only rice was available, no soups. I ordered jollof rice and turkey. When I got home and opened the container low and behold the rice was burnt. I could have ordered something else if the staff was honest-i mean, it happens, instead I had to toss it and order something else. I enjoyed the butter mint candy.
