These three are their best so far:- B01 Xinjiang style BBQ lamb kabob- R41 Shrimp, ground chicken and crab dumplings- P04 Sliced Potato & beef in a wokWe enjoy eating their delicious halal Chinese cuisine and enjoy the 2 years membership deduction each time we comeI leaved so many years in Penang/Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and this place is the only one around so far that give me a similar taste
Good spot for rich and flavorful dishes. The lamb skewers were especially memorable. Our only disappointment were the naan bread that were very stale.
Went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, and didn’t enjoy the experience at all. The food does not match the description on the menu. The cuisine is not authentic XinJiang, and service was horrible. We ordered what is translated to be “wild mushroom” stir fry, but this dish was full of onions and green bell peppers. When we asked the waitress why it looks like this, her attitude was “well this is what mushrooms look like”….. I’ve been to many restaurants before and ordered the same dish, I have never seen this before. Please if you are going to say this is just regular mushroom stir fry with onions then write that on the menu! Don’t try to dress it up when you can’t fulfill the name. Will never go again!
Good food to die for, every bite and every dish we ordered was finger licking good and hit all the right taste buds. Highly recommend this restaurant on a cozy Saturday with friends and family.
The food here is, in a word, outstanding. We've been twice and both meals were off-the-charts.One of the reasons we chose to try Xin Jiang is that they do a lot of lamb dishes. We love properly prepared lamb and these folks do it right. We've had BBQ Lamb Skewers, Braised Lamb on Naan, and Roasted Lamb Ribs. Every one of those dishes were fabulous, though if we had to choose just one it would be the lamb ribs. They were rich and fatty (in that delicious way only lamb fat can be), and cut wonderfully with the onion and veggies served on the plate. They have a lovely, very lightly battered crust that adds a bit of crunch to each bite.Their BBQ and skewers are varied and delicious. In addition to the BBQ lamb we've tried BBQ Chicken Gizzards (soooo good) and BBQ Okra. The ones we've tried have a dusting of a barely sweet, warm cumin seed/chili powder mix that adds a unique and earthy flavour that we now crave.Another appetizer worthy of special comment is the BBQ Squid Tentacles. They come lightly bathed in the cumin/chili spices infused in a light oil. The flavours are blended perfectly, and the squid is firm enough to be crunchy but not chewy. Some of the best we've had.Their Stir Fried Green Beans With Minced Beef was delightful. The green beans were heated through but tender and flavoured with a balance of Sichuan peppers, hot peppers and onions. The beef was tender and juicy, with just enough to satisfy but not so much to distract from the beans and peppers (which were, for us, the star attraction of this dish).Another outstanding offering is their Xinjiang Style Crispy Beef. We make a pretty mean crispy beef at home and love trying other versions when we find them. And this is one of the best we've found. Coated in a wonderful light batter with a pleasing texture, the super tender beef is complemented perfectly with a flavourful cumin and hot pepper spice mix.Their menu is huge, and we've only been able to try a few of their offerings, but we've purchased a membership (a great deal; a $20.00 membership gets you 10 - 15% off every dish) and will be back often to try every dish on the menu. We've even got a menu at home that we're going to fill in like a bingo card as we try each dish! LOL We can't wait.
Lots of BBQ skewer choices and the 大盘鸡 is flavorful. The provided tea does a good job of cleansing the pallet of grease and salt (the BBQ is generally very salty). Be aware that they only take cash or debit for payment.
My go-to for lamb skewers! Xin Jiang features tasty, authentic Chinese dishes and are known for their skewers. The skewers were not too chewy and not dry at all. We also ordered some spicy lamb with Chinese pancakes and it was super yummy. Tip: Most of the staff speak Mandarin, so be sure to speak up if you're not fluent! Their tea is also delicious and pairs well with the food!
5 stars for their service i think they have hired FLASH as a chef they are quick.. if you need a good authentic halal meal thn its a good choice.
Hands down best noodles I've had. It's quite pricey and the $22 chicken dish we had which an employee recommended was trash.
I love authentic Chinese cuisine. And this place in particular was all halal!I don't remember the names of the dishes but everything was so good!1) It was a lamb dish which was huge! There were bread slices at the bottom and lamb on top, topped with veggies. It was so flavorful and the lamb was so tender!2) Fun appetizers, the red like powder kind of got stuck in my mouth but the bread was very good, crisp but chewy3) This rice dish was Palao (pulav), according to my dad it was amazing and he really loved it. He finished it entirely lol4) The wrap thing was fantastic, it was flavorful, fun to eat, and just had a unique taste in my opinion. I loved that sm. We all fought about who would finish it haha.5) A bun! I don't think I need to say more. It was great! So much flavor in the meat and it was filled!
